The School of Nursing offers a revamped RN-BSN online curriculum designed by nurses for nurses to reflect the evolving nature of health care. We are dedicated to your success and committed to helping you take the next step in your academic and career advancement. Recently ranked in the top ten RN-BSN online programs by AffordableCollegesOnline, our program provides a flexible, cost-effective opportunity for registered nurses with an associate degree or a nursing diploma to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completely online in as little as 16 months.

The curriculum in the RN-BSN program at UofL allows working nurses to pursue a bachelor’s degree. RN-BSN students can transfer credits from other regionally accredited institutions and complete the required nursing courses (31 credit hours) at UofL.

Nursing courses in this program are specifically designed for the RN who wants to gain advanced knowledge in nursing and provide leadership in an evolving health care system. Working students may complete the program in 5-semesters, on a part-time schedule, or take longer to accommodate life demands and commitments. While all coursework may be completed online, students must fulfill the clinical requirement through a practicum project in community health, which they can conduct in their hometown.
