In this undergraduate degree program, you will explore and identify the causes of substance abuse disorders. You also will develop the skills to assess, diagnose, and treat people with substance disorders in individual and group settings.In addition, you will participate in an intensive 300-hour internship to develop and refine effective interviewing, counseling, and intervention skills in a supervised, clinical environment.This major provides students with multiple options to meet the educational and practicum requirements to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor upon completion of the CADAC Licensing Exam.
