The Recreation, Park and Tourism Management program offers two interdisciplinary Master of Science degrees: Hospitality and Tourism Management (with the Hospitality Management Program,) and Sport and Recreation Management (with the Sport Administration Program.)
Graduate assistants are appointed by Kent State University to full-time graduates who display a high level of scholarship and academic excellence. Graduate assistants in the Hospitality Management program will assist with food production labs, faculty research, program activities and outreach, and assignment assessments. Graduate assistants in the Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management program will be assisting faculty with research, teaching and program activities.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university to get admission to this program.
Students require a minimum GPA of 3 on a 4.0 scale for the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Students need to submit minimum GRE exam scores for a better chance of admission.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

The following required documents are:

Resume: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
Academic records: The marks statement provided by the education board after completion of the previous academic qualifications.
Three Letter of Recommendation: A recommendation letter should include information about the student, their connection with the person they are recommending, why they are qualified, and the specific skills they have.
Statement of Purpose - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying.
Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores and Successful applicants typically provide a score in the 50th percentile.
Transcripts: Official transcripts from all educational institutions students have attended.
