To be eligible for an all-grade teaching license, you must take 61.5 credit hours in health and physical education in addition to the general courses for all-grade education majors, offered through the Department of Teacher Education. You can complete the program in four years.

UIndy’s HPE program is recognized for quality teachers and excellent employment placement. In recent years, HPE graduates have achieved a 100% pass rate on the Praxis II, a standardized exam for teacher licensure, and despite a slow economy, 100% of the 2012–2014 graduates are employed.
