University of Florida Accommodation: First Year Application
To apply to a residential housing facility at University of Florida, a first year student needs to apply to the university first. Upon acceptance, they can apply for housing as well. First year students are generally prioritized while selecting applications. The following steps should be undertaken.
- Students should pay a non-refundable fee of 25 USD.
- After that, the student should submit their housing agreement by submitting a fee of 225 USD by the due date. The housing agreement guarantees a residential facility but doesn’t guarantee a room.
- After that it’s time for selection and assignments. During this time, students will get to know whether they will be selecting their room or the housing staff will select it for them.
- The student should start making arrangements of moving into their new home at Florida University hostel in the residential place they have been assigned.
University of Florida Accommodation: Graduate Application
To be eligible for receiving housing at University of Florida, a graduate student must be eligible for it first. To apply for graduate housing at University of Florida, the following steps must be ensured.
- The student should visit hms.housing.ufl.edu to apply for graduate housing.
- After that, they should pay the application fee of 25 USD.
- Then, the preference should be updated and the earliest move in date as well as apartment interests should be listed.
- Each Friday, in case of an available apartment, the student will be notified positively.
- The offer must be reviewed where the move-in date, rent amount, building number, apartment number, number of bedrooms, floor etc will be listed.
- Then the student gets the option to accept or reject the offer. They must make the decision within 3 days. Upon acceptance, they are obligated for at least a 60 days rent.
After accepting the offer from the university for moving in, the student will receive an email with more information about picking up the keys and the move-in process. The student cannot move in before the listed date. Even if the student chooses to move in later, they will be charged starting from the move-in date.
