University of Mary Washington International Students Admissions

The University accepts International students, provided they have met all the guidelines laid down by the university. The applicants should have the requisite secondary education in accordance with the curriculum provided by the college. They should have the minimum grade points equivalency, should have submitted all academic records, provided proof of financial support for one academic year and met the mentioned guidelines. Even though the admission process for domestic and international students is the same, however, there are some additional requirements for international applicants.

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

The candidates whose native language is not English and have had a major amount of education in a non-English medium need to provide proof of their English proficiency through tests accepted by UMW. The minimum required scores by the University are:

Visa Process for International Students

International Students can apply for a US student VISA after the University issues an application letter. Post receiving the acceptance letter from the University, to apply for the VISA, candidates need to have a Certificate of Eligibility I-20 form which is usually issued by the Department of Homeland Security. Candidates have to submit the necessary documents following which the I-20 form will be released by the Centre for International Education (CEI). For International Applicants the following documents are required:
