The College of Music offers undergraduate programs leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts, and graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Music, Master of Arts, Doctor of Philosophy, and Doctor of Musical Arts.
The Bachelor of Arts degree program with a major in music is a liberal arts program with a strong emphasis in music. It may fulfill the requirements for entrance into a Master of Music program; it does not provide preparation for teacher certification in music.There are five performance areas:
- Piano
- Stringed Instruments: Harp, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass
- Wind Instruments: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba
- Percussion Instruments
- Voice
