Many undergraduate students transfer into HSA with some college credits or with an associate's degree in areas such as respiratory therapy, radiation technology, physical therapy assistant, dietetics and exercise physiology. The program is designed for college students and adults who have job and family responsibilities but desire to earn a bachelor's degree.

Graduates hold positions such as internal auditor for Medicare payments, supervisor of billing and reimbursement, director of community relations, claims adjustment supervisor, office manager and regional manager for clinic services. They work for organizations such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Hospice of Southeastern Michigan, Trinity Health Corporate Office, Health Alliance Plan, Eli Lilly, Pfizer and virtually all of Southeast Michigan hospitals.
