State-of-the-art equipment, an excellent curriculum and engaged faculty make UNT's Media Arts program one of the nation's best.
We provide you with a strong, theoretical education combined with hands-on experience utilizing the same tools used by industry professionals. You can further hone your skills by working at our 100,000-watt radio station (KNTU-FM) or cable television station (ntTV). Student workers at these stations have earned:

Our students and alumni have also competed well in film contests and had their work screened at film festivals around the world.
In addition to earning a bachelor's degree, you can earn certificates in television news producing, media management and Spanish language media.
Media Arts faculty members include internationally recognized scholars; seasoned media professionals with backgrounds in production, news, broadcasting and new media; and award-winning documentary and narrative filmmakers.
