International student admission to Rush University is subject to fulfillment of requirements of minimum GPA, submission of transcripts, English proficiency requirements and submission of all documents with the application within a specific time period. The College of Nursing of the University does not accept applications from international students.

Visa Process for International Students
Visa process for international students must be initiated after they receive the admission letter. Students holding an F-1 visa to study in the USA are allowed to enter the U.S. not prior to 30 days from the date of commencement of their program. The steps to be followed for acquiring a student visa to study in U.S. are described below:
- Following the confirmation of admission, students must complete the I-20 Request Form called the “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status”.
- Prior to the issuance of I-20, the University will require some documents that include the admission letter, copy of the biographical page of passport, proof of financial support, TOEFL scores.
- The next step would be to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee for having the student’s name on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- The final step in the visa process will be completing the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application with photograph and scheduling a visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate of the applicant’s country.
- While going for a visa interview, students must make sure to carry their passport, Form I-20, admission letter, proof of financial support and receipt of payment of I-901 SEVIS fee.
Rush University Undergraduate Admissions
Rush University offers only 3 undergraduate programs through the College of Health Sciences. The prerequisite for students applying to undergraduate programs is to complete 60 credit hours in subjects that include algebra, English composition, humanities, physical, life and social sciences.
