Montana Tech Campus and Residence

Campus

Set in a rural setting, the campus is lodged midway between Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. It houses the Mineral museum and offers several activities like whitewater rafts, lap swimming, and other off-academics programs which make a student’s life lively and exuberant.

The Montana Tech's North Hall consists of Engineering Hall, Main Hall, the Chemistry/Biology Building, the Petroleum Building, the Mining/Geology Building, the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Complex, the Engineering Lab and Classroom Building, and the Natural Resource Building.

The South Campus is home to a 60000 sq feet of classroom and lab space.

Montana Tech provides a hands-on learning experience through experiential learning and internships. Oredigger media is a student-run media organization that consolidates the newspaper, The technocrat and Radio FM program.

Accommodation

Montana Tech provides amazing on-campus housing options for students in USA with three co-residence halls accommodating approximately 370 students.

  • Living Learning Center - The newest hall with over 60% single-occupancy rooms and 40% double-occupancy or two-person suite single options.
  • Prospector Hall - Has space for 200 odd students with mostly double occupancy and a few single rooms. In addition, several suites are present with 2-3 bedrooms sharing a private living area and bathroom.
  • Centennial Hall - Comprises suite-style rooms on the entire third floor but the rest of the building encompasses double-occupancy rooms.

Apart from all the basic amenities provided, extra benefits include nutritional counselling and sack meals for students who might be away on class-related matters. The housing committee also provides in-room services during emergency cases. Besides residence halls, Montana tech maintains apartment units that are leased to students who are living off-campus.
