Visa Process for International Students
International applicants can apply for a non-immigrant student visa directly with the U.S. embassy or consulate. Students can find the I-20 Form by completing the online visa application. After applying online, the candidate is required for a visa interview appointment at the U.S. embassy or consulate. Aspirants will also be required to submit the following documents while applying for a visa:
- Valid Passport for at least six months
- Application Form I-20 and Affidavit for Support
- Transcripts and diplomas from previous institutions
- Scores of TOEFL/IELTS/ PTE
- Proof of binding ties to the residence of a country
- Receipt of payment for the visa application fee
- SEVIS I-901 fee.
After the submission of the completed I-20 form and payment of the SEVIS fee, students can schedule an interview with the nearest US embassy.

LIU Post welcomes fresh admission applications for undergraduate programs for international students in the fields of Accounting, Art, Artificial Intelligence, Biology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, English, Journalism, Health Science, Mathematics, Nursing, Psychology, Political Science, etc. to mention a few. Fresh admissions are accepted on a rolling basis, which means, candidates can apply for the program until the beginning of the semester. However, some programs do have strict deadlines.
