The master?s degree in criminal justice is designed to provide a foundation in?research and theory in substantive areas of criminal justice activity and focused?scholarship on issues of importance to the field. Curricula are organized into?two sections. The first section, called the Foundation Series, is a set of core?classes that will provide students with the intellectual skills needed for the?study of more complex material. Te second section, the Seminar Series,?promotes the development of scholarship in particular substantive areas in?criminal justice. Students will be required to take electives and either write a thesis or pass a comprehensive examination.
