The department offers courses leading to a BS degree in political science, with a choice of specified areas of emphasis. Te department also provides courses in support of the social science, secondary education option for teachers, as well as a minor in political science.

American Government and Public Policy

This area is offered to students who wish to concentrate their attention on the American political process and behavior. National, state, and local political institutions and their administration are studies, as well as public opinion and voting behavior.
