• The Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Psychology at the University of California is a 4 years program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • Psychology as a scientific discipline aims to describe, understand, and predict the behavior of living organisms.
  • The intensive program is designed to allow students to complete the equivalent of a psychology major and gain research experience in 3 or 4 semesters.
  • The Psychology Department at UC Berkeley reflects the diversity of the discipline's mission covering six key areas of research:
    • Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience
    • Clinical Science
    • Cognition
    • Cognitive Neuroscience
    • Developmental, and Social-Personality Psychology.
  • Students have to successfully complete 120 units to graduate.
  • The program size is limited by the number of research internships to increase the interaction between students and faculty.
  • For most semesters, students are expected to take 3 core courses,  1 professional development class, and attend a graduate-level colloquium series.
  • Students are expected to work in the research lab for approximately 10 hours each week.
  • Students are required to join a research team. Students will work under close mentorship and direction when they start their internships.
