This degree is designed to meet the needs of individual students desiring a program of study in all aspects of the livestock industries, including commercial production and management, animal feeding, health, nutrition, reproductive physiology, genetics, range and wildlife, and live animal evaluation, as well as other areas of the livestock, range and wildlife industries. In addition, students are involved in ongoing faculty research and livestock production practices that prepare graduates for careers in animal science production and business areas. This program is designed to meet the needs of individual students desiring an animal science degree along with a choice of minor between range and wildlife management, food science, biology, chemistry, mass media, communication, criminal justice, or any area of business.
