Alaska Pacific University Campus 

Spread over 170 acres the campus of the university is a few miles apart from Alaska's largest city Anchorage. It provides state-of-art facilities and an excellent academic environment. The campus is surrounded by a scenic range of mountains The main campus is extended into Kellogg campus as well. THe campus offers dining facilities and student housing in the USA for students.

The University is a hub for student activities like indoor climbing wall, bookstore, photography club, computer club and academic support centre.The main campus is near to Alaska native Medical Centre and University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). APU has a research library which is in association with UAA. The campus has eight major buildings which satisfies the structural needs of the Alaska University.

Housing Facilities/Residence

The University makes students comfortable to live and enjoy the atmosphere. Students who wish to stay inside the campus should pay the housing deposit of 400 USD either online or offline. Alaska University also provides a two-years live-on requirement and stay connected with the capus. APU offers four housing options as follows:

North Atwood Hall- It is a three-storey building having 20 suites accommodating Freshman, Early honors, few returning and Transfer students. The North Atwood has 3 types like one-person private suite, two-person suites and two-bedroom suites for three students.

University Village- If students don't like to stay in common residence halls then University Village is designed for them. It comprises 5 two-storey duplex homes. Each house has upper and lower units and each unit has three or four bedrooms. The students have access to the dining area, kitchen, living room and bathrooms. The meal plan may be a silver or golden plan. Segelhorst hall- It consists of six fully furnished apartments, each with four private bedrooms. They have access to kitchens so need not take a gold meal plan.

Off campus housing- This is for students who wish to live in Anchorage. This is suitable for those who are married, who have pets and want to live off-campus.

Alaska Pacific University Scholarship and Financial Aid

APU Additional Scholarships are given before enrollment only. The period of scholarship is 5 years and given to those students who have satisfactorily maintained good academic performance. The two scholarships under this are AK award of 2,000 USD and APU educational grant of 1,000 USD.

May block Flex plan is applicable for all UG students who have enrolled for full-time programs. It covers only students' tuition fees.

Work While you study

Interestingly, APU uses the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program yet students that are not eligible for the FWS program can still apply for positions too. There are jobs On-Campus and Off-Campus for students.

On-Campus: There are jobs in areas of Students Job, Leadership Positions and assistantships.

Off-Campus: There are several jobs outside the campus for international students in Alaska. APU helps students to seek these jobs through the Career Services Office of APU by putting mechanisms in place for employers to publish job opportunities in the Career Services Office and these are made known to students for application.
