Jananayak Chandrashekhar University (JNCU) is a state university located in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in the year 2016 under the Uttar Pradesh State University Act 1073. The university was set-up by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and named after Jananayak Chandrashekhar, a freedom fighter and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

JNCU Admission

Jananayak Chandrashekhar University admissions is carried out through online mode.The admission process for JNCU usually starts in May and ends in August every year (the exact dates may vary). The selection process for all its UG, PG, and PhD courses is based on merit (i.e. marks secured in the last qualifying exam) along with national/ state level entrance exams or university-led entrance exam (JNCU Entrance Test). For admission to all the offered undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes, the university conducts an entrance exam named JNCU Entrance Test. But for admission to BAMS course, the university accepts NEET UG scores.

Further, based on the marks obtained and course selected, the admission committee of JNCU will prepare a merit list of the eligible candidates. Candidates have to check the merit list and report for counselling as per the given date and time. After counselling, the selected candidates will be called for admissions, wherein they have to report to their allotted colleges and pay the admission fee. All the interested candidates must register themselves and apply for the entrance exam to become eligible for the offered courses.

JNCU Results

JNCU follows a dual-semester system for all its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This system has even and odd semesters. At the end of every semester, the university conducts sem examinations, usually two exams annually. Results of these exams are released probably after a month on the official website of the university, @jncu.ac.in. Candidates who had appeared for these exams have to enter their roll/registration number and other information to check their results. JNCU Campus and Facilities

JNCU is located in the centre of the Ganga valley. The campus of the university is spread over an area of 54 acres with several academic departments and development cells like anti-ragging cell, placement cell, women redressal cell, student counselling cell and more. Along with ensuring the development of its students, the JNCU campus also has recreational facilities like football and cricket courts and guest houses.

Hostels: JNCU provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostels are well-equipped with Wi-Fi, clean drinking water, and hygienic food. Computer Centre: JNCU campus has a computer centre that manages and controls the university’s network and internet facilities. This centre allows the students and staff to undertake computing activities. Alongside, it has the latest application software and operating system, enabling the students to learn new and advanced forms of technology.
