Himalayan Garhwal University offers the degree of Masters in Performing Arts over a duration of two years. Master in Performing Arts is a postgraduate in any of the artistic fields such as dance, theatre, music, and film. After completing the two-year program, students can choose various professional paths in these fields. HGU is affiliated to AICTE and has received accreditation from UGC.
The selection criteria for Admissions to the MPA course is a merit list drafted on the basis of qualifying graduation aggregate followed by a personal interview.

Each theory paper shall be made up of 100 marks, divided into a 30-mark internal evaluation and a 70-mark term-end evaluation. Each candidate need to pass theory papers, practical, and general voice exercises separately. Every student must achieve a total of 40% marks in the combination of theory papers, fieldwork, and the general Viva-Voice test to pass successfully.

The Himalayan Garhwal University (HGU) offers different modules of scholarship programs for meritorious students each academic year. The management decides the number of scholarships to distribute among students every year. The University also provides help in providing education loans for those students who cannot afford to pay their basic fees and they get approval for the same with the help of the University at a very low-interest rate.
