CUET PG 2024 registration is likely to start before December 25, 2023. The NTA will conduct CUET PG 2024 from March 11 – 28, 2024. While CUET UG 2024 exam will be held from May 15 to May 31. Students can fill out the application form on the official website @cuet.nta.nic.in

The foundation of NSU was laid in March 2018 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India; it is situated in Imphal, the capital city of Manipur.

NSU produces top athletes, sports scientists, and competent physical educationists by offering programs that cultivate learning through competition, recreation, and physical activity in addition to classroom learning.

The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Sports Coaching, Sports Sciences, and Physical Education in various disciplines.

At the UG level, the institute offers a B.Sc. in Sports Coaching with 8 specializations and a BPES with 26 specializations. To be eligible for the same the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification.

At the PG level, NSU offers an M.Sc. in Sports Coaching and an M.A. in Sports Psychology for a duration of two years. Admission to all the programs will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test.

NSU Imphal Undergraduate Admissions 2023

NSU Imphal UG Course Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2).
The minimum age of the candidate shall be above 17 years.
Candidate must have represented his/her School/District at the Inter-school /district Competition in any one of the Games/Sports.

NSU Imphal UG Course Selection Criteria

Admission shall be offered based purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in the Admission Test (Written Test, Sports Proficiency Test, and Physical Fitness Test).
Securing qualifying marks in the Physical Fitness Test is compulsory.
Candidate must be medically fit and free from physical deformities and must be approved by any Government Medical Officer.
Candidate has to score at least a 45% score in the Admission test.

NSU Imphal Postgraduate Admissions 2023

At the PG level, the institute offers an M.Sc. in Sports Coaching with 5 specializations such as-

Aside from the above-mentioned programs, the institute also offers an M.A. in Sports Psychology for a duration of two years.

NSU Imphal PG Course Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc. in Sports Coaching: Graduate with Diploma-holder in Sports Coaching/B.P.Ed. of 4 years or 2 years duration with 50% Marks. Also participation in Sports at State/District/College Level.

M.A. Sports Psychology: Bachelor’s Degree in B.P.Ed./B.A. (Hons) in Psychology or any Bachelor’s Degree with Psychology/ Sports Psychology as one of the subjects, with minimum 50% marks. Also participation in Sports at State/District/College Level.

NSU Imphal PG Course Selection Criteria

Admission shall be offered based purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Test (Written Test, Sports Proficiency Test, and Interview).
Minimum overall 50% marks required to qualify the test.
The eligibility of candidates to appear in for Counselling will be declared in their respective categories, based on the declarations made by the candidates in their application forms.
The selected candidates shall be required to undergo a Medical Test to be conducted by the University.
The final list of selected candidates shall be made based on the basis of the list of medically fit students submitted by a panel of doctors constituted by the University.

Steps to apply online

Candidates can apply online at the official website of NSU or Click here.
Create a new login ID and passwords by entering email ID and phone number details.
On completion of this process, a verification email will be sent to the candidate’s email account with a confirmation link, which the applicant shall have to click to confirm the registration.
Re-login and start filling the application form.
Enter the educational and personal details.
Upload the documents required.
Once all the files are uploaded and the application form is filled, candidates can submit their application.
Retain a hard copy print of the application form.

Certificate and Mark sheet of the qualifying examination.
Passport size photograph.
Identity Card.
Proof of date of birth.
Character Certificate from the Institute/College/University last attended.
Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate.

FAQs

Ques. What sports facilities do they provide?

Ans. Both Athletic and Indoor Hall standard facilities are available and these facilities have been made available to the students of NSU by the Government of Manipur.

Ques. Does University provide hostel facilities to their students?

Ans. University has separate boys and girls hostel, catering to 150 each. Hostels having separate dining hall, recreation hall and washroom facilities of high standard.

Ques. Can we pay fees in installments?

Ques. Does NSU provide placement facility to its students?

Ans. No, right now there is no placement facility, but NSU will establish a placement cell soon related to sports organizations, Sports clubs, Sports Leagues, government and non-government organizations, schools, universities and create opportunities for internships and placements of the students.
