The general procedures of student admission in Higher education of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Maharashtra will be followed at the University. The National Qualification Framework would be the guideline in such case.

1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University, would also hold admission tests with due approval from the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Maharashtra and the national regulating agencies.
2. The selection of students into the programs conducted by the university shall be done on the basis of merit and other parameters that may be decided by the university in congruence to its core objectives and in accordance with the rules in force of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Maharashtra and the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
