Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from recognized board including International Baccalaureate Diploma with English as compulsory subject with science or vocational science, minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Indore / Hyderabad campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus. Those awaiting their 10+2 or equivalent examination result this year may also apply AND a candidate with IB Diploma is eligible only if he/she has offered Mathematics at Standard Level (SL).

Well, no the hostel fees are not included in the course fees shown on the website, you have to pay them separately. The accommodation charges for the NMIMS Shirpur campus and Mumbai campus vary from each other. I have friends studying on both campuses and they are currently paying the following charges.
- For NMIMS Shirpur campus the fees are roughly 1,20,000 per year which includes both accommodation and mess food. There are separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus itself where you get facilities like Dining Hall TV Room, Reading Room, PlayGround, Transport Facility, Medical Facility, Staff Quarters, Gym Facility, Saloons.
- For NMIMS Mumbai, the hostel fee can range from 1.3 to 1.5 lakh for 10 months which can be quite expensive. You get full-fledged hostels for girls and boys and three rented residential accommodations. The facilities are great and almost the same as the Shirpur campus. However, many students usually form groups and rent a flat near the campus which is less costly.
All in all, hostel fees especially at the Mumbai campus can be very expensive despite four-seater rooms. Also, preference is given to students who are from outside Mumbai. If you have budget constraints, you can easily rent a flat near the campus with your friends as most students do.
I have a few friends at NMIMS Shirpur, so I can tell you a little bit about the campus life at the institute.
- Hostel and Mess- The hostels are the best in Maharashtra as well as in India. The best part of this campus is its infrastructure, the hostel rooms are quite spacious and they are the best among other colleges but there are no air conditioning facilities in the room. Mess food is good but they provide you with veg food.
- Faculties & classrooms- The faculty base is good and most of them are quite friendly. The classrooms are well maintained and air-conditioned.
- Placement wise- Placements are quite good. It offers 100% placement, provided if you do not have any backlog in any subject. The average package offered is 3.5 lacks and the highest is around 10 to 12 lakhs.
- Fest & crowd- During the odd semester, you will have Aiesc Youth to Speak Forum (YSF) followed by Narsee Monjee Model United Nations (NMMUN) followed by the TECH FEST of the college i.e., Ambiora. During even semester you have Cultural fest i.e., Prothoson, and Sports fest i.e., Flavium followed by TedX.
- Library- The library there is brilliant with a lot of articles and reference books.
This campus is ragging-free and the protocols are strict and require to be followed by every student. The campus is smoking and alcohol-free. If one is caught doing any act which violates the college rules and regulations, they will have to face severe punishment.
