I chose this course because of my interest in psychology. the faculty here was good in the beginning but now it is average. The student-to-faculty ratio is almost 1:20. The faculties here are well-qualified but don't have much experience in teaching. the exams are neither very difficult nor very easy, we have to study everything to score decent marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

Computer science is the most demanding course in India currently and computer science has good scope too. In computer science, there are 180 students divided into 3 divisions and there is a total of 15 faculty available for them. Every sir and teacher has completed their degree in a reputed college. Some teachers are very nice they are always there to help u but some aren't that great. 1 year is divided into 2 terms per term is of 4.5 months and exams are a bit tough and not that easy to pass without studying.

Amity University: 8 answered questions

Ques
Which college is better to study law? Amity college, Mumbai or NMIMS, Mumbai or neither?

● Top Answer By Rituparna Aich on 11 Mar 22

Ans
Among these, Amity College is the best option for pursuing Law.  As Law is a multidisciplinary branch, most students usually find it confusing to choose the right specialization at the bachelor's level.  For such cases, Amity University Mumbai is the best option. Amity follows a curriculum that will you give you the freedom to choose from a variety of specializations. You can pursue your Bachelor of Law degree with Bachelor of Arts, Bachelors of Commerce, Bachelors of Business Administration, and Bachelors of Science. It also offers electives like Communication Skills, Foreign Language, etc.  With the help of corporate resource center, mock court sessions, industrial visits, and guest lectures, Amity also offers the practical education students need.

Ques
Is Amity university Mumbai good for psychology?

● Top Answer By Jahaan Sharma on 17 Apr 21

Ans
Yes, it is a good option for psychology. The Amity University campus in Mumbai has some really decent faculty within the psychology department. As a psychology student, you will get a number of assignments, various regular practical sessions as well as other research activities. All these are carried out throughout the year so you will definitely be kept busy. A small drawback is a fact that the campus is located away from the city, so you might not have hip hangout spots to explore.  Another thing is that engineering students have some subjects in common with other branches i.e. one branch might have subjects of the other that could be interrelated to one another. However, this is not the case with the Psychology course. You will not have to struggle with this issue. A plus point is a fact that all courses have another additional 3-year course known as a Minor track. Here, you can select a field you’d like to explore other than the one you plan to major in. For Psychology students, these options include English literature, European studies, Management, Human rights, and Embedded systems. While management possibly has limited seats, you can definitely choose from any of these options. International Collaborations:  Additionally, the university is also in works with the University of South Carolina for partnering on a student exchange program.  You will also find a number of psychology books for your referrals in the library, albeit they are not present in large numbers.  You will often find yourself conducting surveys, carrying out research, writing research papers, participating in flash mobs, and many other activities throughout the year. In my opinion, you should definitely join Amity University Mumbai. You will have a great time here and you will be able to explore this field in a greater depth as well.

Ques
Are degrees from Amity University, Mumbai, recognised by institutions like Oxford and Cambridge?

● Top Answer By Sunit Aggarwal on 05 May 21

Ans
The points below provide a bigger picture of the chances of students having a degree from Amity University to get a seat in Oxford or Cambridge. Due to a huge number of applications from universities and colleges around the world, institutes like Oxford and Cambridge make a pre-selection of candidates based on their previous profiles. In this process, they make sure that students mostly from reputed institutes like IITs, IISc, St. Xavier’s, St. Stephen’s, etc get the best preference in selection. The reason behind such pre-selection is that such elite institutes want the best students who are already trained from a reputed institute, thus reducing the work for evaluation. Amity University, Mumbai doesn’t come in such category of reputed institutes in the list of institutes preferred by Oxford and Cambridge. Therefore, there is very little chance for students from Amity University to get a seat in Oxbridge. 90% of Indian students in Oxford and Cambridge belong to the four above-mentioned reputed institutes. So, only 10% of students are from other institutes, which makes it a very difficult task to convince the admission committee that the candidate is a deserving one. There are several other excellent universities around the world which provides excellent degrees in several fields. Some of these universities don’t give so much pressure in selecting candidates from reputed institutes only. Being said that, you can still try for Oxbridge, keeping the requirement in mind. Cambridge states its primary academic requirement as one of the following: 75% in Bachelor degree (4 years) from a top institute in B.E., B.Tech, or MBBS 75% in Bachelor of Law (3 years) 75% in Bachelor of Arts (3 years) from University of Mumbai or Delhi. Therefore, it is clear that the chances of a student from Amity University in Oxbridge are very low. However, if you have a decent academic background, you can give it a try.

Which college is better to study BBA in business? Amity or NMIMS?

● Top Answer By Advaith Bhaskar on 22 Mar 23

Ans
In my opinion, NMIMS Mumbai is a much better option than Amity. NMIMS offers a number of specialized BBA courses and the placement scenario is much better at NMIMS than Amity.  Mumbai is called the Mecca for Finance. It has a better and larger number of MNCs and firms that offer excellent exposure in contrast to Amity where the opportunities will be somewhat limited. On the basis of the Management program, NMIMS even has better rankings than Amity.  A table drawing a comparison between the BBA Programs offered at both Amity and NMIMS is shown below Particulars  Amity NMIMS Fees INR 3.61 Lakhs (yearly) INR 500000 (yearly) Ranking # Ranked 28/125 by NIRF Management Colleges 25 out of 125 by NIRF in Management Colleges Highest CTC INR 2150000 INR 18.45 LPA Average CTC  INR 500000 INR 34.72 LPA Exams Accepted Merit-based + University-based Test NPAT
