Amity University Mumbai offers Bachelor of Business Administration courses (BBA) across five specializations that extend for 3 years. All the courses, including BBA offered by the Amity University Mumbai have received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The BBA courses offered are namely in Banking and Finance, Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure, International and 3 Continent specialisations.
The minimum requirement to apply for the BBA course at Amity University Mumbai is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with 50% aggregate.
Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination conducted independently by the University.
The nature of the BBA course is full time.

Amity University Mumbai BBA Eligibility Criteria

Applicants at Amity University, Mumbai applying for BBA need to fulfill the following criteria:

Candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognised university/ institute.
The candidate should score at least 50% in the qualifying examination.
Candidates applying for BBA (International) or BBA (3 Continent) programs should have a score greater than 55% in the 10+2 examinations.
The University conducts a separate entrance examination for admissions for certain courses.
Candidates having an aggregate of 80% or more in their 10+2 examinations are exempt from the entrance examination held by the university.
Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examinations can also apply.

Amity University Mumbai BBA Admission Guidelines

Admission for BBA programs are based on 10+2 examinations and the entrance examination conducted by the University which is compulsory for all applicants. Students who have scored above 80% in their 10+2 examinations are exempt from the entrance test. The merit list is drawn up on the basis of 10+2 examination scores and entrance examination scores. The application process is conducted online and selected candidates are required to visit the University for the Physical Verification process after their selection.

The application form requires a refundable (under special circumstances) application fee of INR 1100 to be paid through credit/ debit card.

Amity University Mumbai BBA Course Details

The BBA program at Amity University, Mumbai is a three year course and is offered across five specialisations. The course is as mentioned below.

The BBA course has been divided into six semesters.
Each semester comprises Lectures, Tutorials, Practical, Seminars and Projects.
The curriculum allows students to choose amongst elective courses.
75% attendance in each semester is compulsory for a student to be eligible for appearing in the end semester examinations.

Students are evaluated on the basis of a continuous process of evaluation consisting of unit and semester tests, practical examinations and tutorials.
Students are required to complete a dissertation in their final semester. The dissertation amounts to 9 credit units. This also comprises a comprehensive viva voice and a presentation.
Students are also required to complete a NTCC Summer training in Semester 5. The summer internships amount to 6 credit units.

The Amity school of business (ABS) offers two years long full-time MBA programs in multiple specializations. Candidates who have completed their graduation in any stream with 50% marks are eligible to apply for the MBA program. The selection for the MBA course is done based on the score of the student in CAT/XAT/NMAT/MAT/GMAT and there is no sectional cutoff for shortlisting. Selected candidates are also required to go through group discussion and personal interview for admission. The total course fee per year is approximately 5.15 lakhs for MBA programs. In my opinion, NMIMS Mumbai is a much better option than Amity. NMIMS offers a number of specialized BBA courses and the placement scenario is much better at NMIMS than Amity. Mumbai is called the Mecca for Finance. It has a better and larger number of MNCs and firms that offer excellent exposure in contrast to Amity where the opportunities will be somewhat limited. On the basis of the Management program, NMIMS even has better rankings than Amity.
