Course Description

Central University of South Bihar, established in 2009, offers a full-time Ph.D. degree across various streams such as Education, Life Science, Psychology, English, Mathematics, Economics, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science, Hindi, Law, International Laws Political Science, Communication & Media Studies, Sociology, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, etc.

Admission to the Ph.D. course is based on the candidate’s performance in the UGC NET/ UGC CSIR NET/ GATE examination followed by an interview round.
To be eligible for the admissions, candidates must have completed their Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks as an aggregate.

CUSB South Bihar Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have Masters Degree in any field from a recognized University with at least 55% of marks. A relaxation of 5% is also provided to SC/ ST/ differently-abled candidates.

CUSB South Bihar Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

Admission to the Ph.D. course is offered on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the UGC NET/UGC CSIR NET/ GATE examination, followed by an interview round. Candidates performing well in both rounds are offered admission into the Ph.D. course.

How to Apply?

Candidates need to visit the official website and register themselves for the Ph.D. program.
After registration, candidates need to fill the form and basic details.
After that, all the academic details and photo,s and signature need to be uploaded.
After preview and final submit, the application fee has to be paid.
Then the institute declares the cut-off marks for the Ph.D. program, and students who have cleared the cut-off become eligible for interview.
A candidate who clears the interview process becomes eligible for a Ph.D. program in CUSB.

All central universities including CURAJ, CUPB are good for Chemistry branches like Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry. The course curriculum followed by these universities is up-to-the industry standard. The lab resources at these universities are also quite good. CURAJ and CUPB are also located in the industrial region, so you will get decent employment options. You can choose either of these two universities for an M.Sc in Chemistry.

BHU also known as Banaras Hindu University is one of the best Central Universities in India. According to the reviews online, BHU is much better than CUSB (Central University of South Bihar). Considering the quality of education and popularity among students BHU is considered to be far better than most of the universities of India. Categories CUSB BHU Placement Percentage 60-70% 80% Highest CTC 4 LPA 8 LPA Average CTC 1.2 LPA 5 LPA Almost all the courses and subjects which are recognised by UGC are taught in BHU and BHU is among the institutes of National Importance and always ranks at the top for most of its courses.

Among the above mentioned institutes, it is recommended that you go for CUSB (Central University of South Bihar) rather than CUH (Central University of Haryana). Here are some reasons to choose CUSB: CUSB has a huge and very well maintained campus. It is appropriate for an educational institution. The placement here is really good. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, L&T, TCS and Cognizant take part in their placement program. Tech Mahindra and TCS offer mass recruitments. The infrastructure is world class. They have a central library with lots of study materials including e-books. The mess facilities are moderate. The food is affordable but does not offer many variations. The seniors are very helpful. They organize many cultural and technical events, where you also get the opportunity to take part in. The faculty here is highly experienced and cooperative. CUSB also provides hostel facilities, with separate hostels for boys and girls. They have a computer lab, a bioinformatics lab and a media lab. They provide a sports complex, auditorium, gym, medical facilities and also shuttle service. Thus choosing CUSB for your PG courses will definitely prove to be good.

You should complete all the formalities and take part in the counseling process. With your rank, you should get a seat. Even if you don’t get a seat in the counseling, regularly visit the CUSB website. It often happens that students with good ranks leave the college after taking admission and the university starts allocating those seats based on the merit list. So, keep visiting the website to know, if there are vacant seats.
