The University of South Bihar, referred to as CUSB, was established in 2009 in Gaya, Patna. It has been accredited with an A grade by NAAC and appeared in the overall rankings of NIRF 2020. The institute offers 3 integrated programs, and 5 postgraduate courses in multiple specializations.

CUSB accepts applications through online mode.

Candidates applying for B.A + B.Ed, or B.Sc + B.Ed must be qualified with at least 50% in 10 + 2. Admissions are based on the CUET scores.
Admissions to the B.A + LLB course is also on the basis of CUET scores. Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 with at least 45% to be eligible.
For the M.Tech course, candidates must have achieved 60% in B.E or B.Tech in a relevant specialization, or MCA. Admissions are based on GATE scores.
For all other PG courses, eligibility criteria range from 50 to 55% in the relevant specialization. Admissions are based solely on CUET scores.

A 5% relaxation of marks is also granted to all candidates from SC/ ST / OBC community to be eligible. While applying for CUET, there is no Cut Off for these candidates, unless their overall score is 0 or negative.

CUSB Gaya Integrated Programs Admissions 2023

CUSB Gaya offers 3 Integrated Programmes: BA. + B.Ed, BSc. + B.Ed, and BA + LLB. The programmes are offered in full time regular mode for 4 years (BA + B.Ed and BSc + B.Ed) and 5 years (BA + LLB).

CUSB Gaya M.Tech Admission 2023

CUSB offers an M.Tech course in Computer Science. The details of the course are summarised below.

M.Tech Eligibility

The minimum eligibility criteria for the M.Tech program is BE/ B.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline or an MCA degree with at least 60%. GATE score is mandatory to secure admission in M.Tech program.

M.Tech Selection Criteria

All GATE qualified candidates should register first in the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).
After successful completion of registration, the candidate will receive the "COAP Registration Number”. Use this number while filling the registration form.
Cut off for each specialization will be decided by the central counseling board of CCMT.
Upon selected, candidates shall be informed regarding their selection status through a merit list published at the official website of the institute and at their COAP login account.

How to Apply for M.Tech?

Register for the exam through the NTA website.
Enter the login details for creating a unique ID and password.
Enter personal login with the unique ID and password and enter personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents’ name, parents’ mobile number, etc.).
Upload photographs, signatures, and other documents.
Enter the GATE paper (subject) and choice of examination cities.
Pay the application fee and submit it.
After submission, check the status of the application form and retain the hard copy of it.

Visit the official website of CUCET and click on the New Registration button. Register yourself and login with the application ID and password created.
Fill in the academic and personal details.

How to apply to CUSB?

After the examination results are declared, candidates must apply to CUSB on its official website too. The steps are mentioned below:

Sign up with registered CUCET email, CUCET application number & user name, password of your choice.
After successful registration, you will be redirected to the student’s registration online form.

Download the completed application and submit the same at the time of admission.

Ques. Does the institute provide an education loan?

Ans. The University does not provide any educational loans but has many other financial aids for the students. The scholarships provided by the University can be helpful for the students looking for financial support.

Ques. Can In get admitted to CUSB directly?

Ans. No, you have to qualify the entrance exams such as CUET to be eligible for admission to CUSB. The university does not offer direct admissions to any of its course currently.

Ans. For M.Tech admission, it is necessary to score at least or more than 513 scores for General Category, and for SC/ST/OBCs Category the score is 437 marks in the entrance exam. There are only 18 seats in the course, hence building up the competition.

Ques. Are there Ph.D. courses?

Ans. Yes, there are Ph.D. courses available. Admissions are also based on CUET scores. However, candidates who are qualified with UGC, JRF, SLET, or GATE are not required to sit for the CUET examination.

Which is better, CURAJ or CUPB for an MSc in chemistry?

All central universities including CURAJ, CUPB are good for Chemistry branches like Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Applied Chemistry. The course curriculum followed by these universities is up-to-the industry standard. The lab resources at these universities are also quite good. CURAJ and CUPB are also located in the industrial region, so you will get decent employment options. You can choose either of these two universities for an M.Sc in Chemistry.

Which one is better CUSB or BHU?

BHU also known as Banaras Hindu University is one of the best Central Universities in India. According to the reviews online, BHU is much better than CUSB (Central University of South Bihar).

Considering the quality of education and popularity among students BHU is considered to be far better than most of the universities of India.

Among the above mentioned institutes, it is recommended that you go for CUSB (Central University of South Bihar) rather than CUH (Central University of Haryana).

Here are some reasons to choose CUSB:

CUSB has a huge and very well maintained campus. It is appropriate for an educational institution.
The placement here is really good. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, L&T, TCS and Cognizant take part in their placement program.
Tech Mahindra and TCS offer mass recruitments.
The infrastructure is world class. They have a central library with lots of study materials including e-books.
The mess facilities are moderate. The food is affordable but does not offer many variations.
The seniors are very helpful. They organize many cultural and technical events, where you also get the opportunity to take part in.
The faculty here is highly experienced and cooperative.

CUSB also provides hostel facilities, with separate hostels for boys and girls. They have a computer lab, a bioinformatics lab and a media lab. They provide a sports complex, auditorium, gym, medical facilities and also shuttle service. Thus choosing CUSB for your PG courses will definitely prove to be good.

I got 44 marks and 392 rank in BA LLB as there are only 150 seats for this course in CUSB. Can I get admission there?

You should complete all the formalities and take part in the counseling process. With your rank, you should get a seat. Even if you don’t get a seat in the counseling, regularly visit the CUSB website. It often happens that students with good ranks leave the college after taking admission and the university starts allocating those seats based on the merit list. So, keep visiting the website to know, if there are vacant seats.
