Eligibility Criteria

Typically, to be successful, the candidate should have:

A Master’s degree (bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3, followed by a master’s degree) or a post-graduate diploma (2 Years) from any discipline, with at least 55%* in Master’s degrees

OR
A professional qualification like CA,ICWA, CS with atleast 55%*
* Five Percent marks relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD Candidates; The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective university/institution.
Candidates who are in the final year of the qualifying programs that would make them eligible, can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheets and a certificate of having passed the master’s degree/equivalent qualification referred to in the application form.
Please note that those candidates who have applied based on their master’s degree will have to submit final degree mark sheet with above stated eligibility criteria. Non-fulfilment of these conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Course Details

GLS University, Ahmedabad also extends its education to Research level courses. The basic eligibility to apply for Ph.D. program is having passed Master’s or M.Phil. course with at least 55% marks.

Final selection of the candidates will be based on the Entrance Test conducted by the University.

Key points:

The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ SEBC category gets a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate score.
Candidates having cleared UGC NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/ SLET/ UGC JRF/ GATE/ M.Phil. with a valid score or holding any Teacher Fellowship for research from any national body are exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test.

About:

Auro University is a renowned private university located in Surat, Gujarat. It also has international collaborations.
GLS University is a private university located in Gujarat. The university currently holds more than 25,000 students. The university provides excellent career-oriented courses in Business Management, Computer Technology, Commerce, Education, Law, and Humanities.
United World School of Law (UWSL) is a private law school situated in Gujarat and offers courses in law.

Course:

Auro University offers BA + LLB and BBA + LLB in Law stream.
GLS offers BA + LLB which is a five-year course comprising ten semesters. 60 seats are available in this course.
United World School of Law offers a 5-year Integrated law course BBA, LL.B., and a one-year LLM course.

Faculty:

Auro University:

The university has highly qualified faculty members. All members of faculty are accomplished years of experience in their respective disciplines.

GLS University:

The faculty members of the college are good. Various guest lecturers such as judges and lawyers visit the campus to guide the students.
The college has arranged High Court Visits, Sabarmati jail, and family court for exposures.

UWSL:

Students who have qualified for CLAT or LSAT are eligible for BA-LLB and BBA-LLB programs.

GLS University:

For admissions at GLS University, the minimum eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 in any stream.

UWSL:

Candidates who completed Class 12 in any stream can apply for the BBA LLB program. Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree can apply for the LLM program.

Placements:

The average package offered at the Auro University of Law is around 2.85 LPA.
GLS University has maintained a good placement. The average package was 2.8 LPA.
The average placement offered is 3 LPA at UWSL.
