Gurukul Vidyapeeth is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. The institute offers B.Tech in 12 disciplines and M.Tech in 6 disciplines. Selection of candidates in M.Tech program is done on the basis of GATE.
The basic eligibility criteria for MBA/PGDM course is a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
Admission to MBA/PGDM is done on the basis of CAT/MAT/GVAT.
The minimum eligibility for B.Sc., BBA and BCA courses is a pass in 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board.
For B.Sc. IT and BCA lateral-entry admission, candidates with Diploma in a relevant field are eligible to apply.
The minimum eligibility for M.Sc. IT is candidate must pass any BCA/ B.Sc. IT/ PGDM or Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics/IT/CS/Quantitative Technique/Business Statistics as optional or compulsory subjects at 10+2 or graduation level.

Gurukul Vidyapeeth B.Tech Admission 2023

Gurukul Vidyapeeth offers B.Tech courses in 12 disciplines and B.Tech Lateral Entry program to the candidates. The basic eligibility for the B. Tech (4-year) course is a pass in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Biology/Chemistry/Computer Science as one of the subjects. The minimum eligibility for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) program is pass in Diploma in the relevant field or B.Sc. with subjects like Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing/ Engineering Mechanics with minimum 50% marks from an AICTE institute.

The college also offers Non-AICTE courses that include BBA, B.Sc., and BCA. The college also offers B.Sc. IT and BCA courses through the lateral-entry program.

The basic eligibility for the candidate seeking admission for BBA/B.Sc./ BCA course is a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized board. For admission to the B.Sc. IT/BCA lateral-entry program, candidate must have passed Diploma (10+3) in CSE/IT/EE/ECE/E&IE/ E-Telecom/Electronics/Microprocessor. The admission process is conducted directly by the Institute and is based on the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.

Gurukul Vidyapeeth offers two-year full-time M.Tech course in 6 disciplines. The college also provides MBA or PGDM courses as part of postgraduate program.

To apply for M.Tech course, candidate should have passed B.Tech/BE in the relevant field with minimum 50% marks from an AICTE approved Institute. The minimum eligibility for MBA or PGDM courses is pass in three-year graduate degree (10+2+3) with minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

Key Points:

Non-GATE qualified candidates will be considered for admission only after all the GATE Merit-list will be exhausted.
In such case, the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination will be given priority.
85% of the seats are reserved in PTU counselling for the candidates who are Punjab residents and the remaining 15% will be reserved for candidates from other states.

Gurukul Vidyapeeth offers Diploma courses in 6 specializations. The Diploma course offered as both three-year and two-year (lateral-entry) program.

The candidate seeking admission for Diploma (3-year) program in Engineering Technology should have passed 10th examination with at least 50% marks from a recognized board or equivalent accepted by the University. The candidate seeking admission for Diploma (2-year) program should have passed 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board or equivalent accepted by the University or 10th + 2 years of ITI with appropriate specializations.

Various Scholarship schemes and educational loan programs are available for students in the Institute.

Central Government Scholarship:

The Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Category and Merit cum means scholarship for Students belonging to minority community are available for deserving candidates as per central government scholarship program.
For availing these scholarships, the students should have valid caste and resident certificate and also should possess a valid self-bank account, connected to their Aadhar card.

Scholarships under MHRD, Govt of India:

Under MRHD, Govt of India, Central Scholarship schemes are provided for College and University students, and special Scholarship Scheme under MHRD for J&K Students.
Only Indian Nationals are eligible for these schemes.
The students should provide valid community and mark certificates to secure the scholarship. The students should have their original Aadhar card and valid ID proof.

The student whose parent’s or guardian’s income does not exceed INR 4.5 Lakhs per annum.
Special Scholarship Scheme under MHRD for J&K Students	This scholarship is open only for J&K students. The student whose parent’s or guardian’s income does not exceed INR 4.5 Lakhs per annum.

Punjab Technical University Scholarship:

PTU offers Free-Ship Scholarship for fatherless, Motherless or Single-Child students.
The University also offers a Tuition Fee waiver scheme for deserving candidates.
For availing these scholarships, the students should have valid death (parents) and resident certificate for the former and resident certificate for the latter, and also should possess a valid self-bank account, connected to their Aadhar card.
