Course Description
MAKAUT BTech admissions 2024 will begin soon. Admissions to the BTech program will be based on the rank secured in the WBJEE or JEE Main examination. The WBJEE 2024 exam will be held on April 28, 2023. Also, JEE Main 2024 applications for the session 1 examination are open now. The last date to apply for JEE Main 2024 session 1 is November 30, 2023. Candidates can apply online on the official website @jeemain.nta.ac.in. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) offers full-time B.Tech programs in-house and in its affiliated colleges. The duration of the programs is 4 years spread over 8 semesters.
- The B.Tech program is offered in 20 specializations including Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and many more

MAKAUT B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
A candidate desirous of getting admission into such courses must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (PCM) in 10+2 from State Board / CBSE / ICSE or equivalent examination.
MAKAUT B.Tech Admission Guidelines
Applicants have to clear WBJEE to be eligible for admission to the B.Tech courses. For lateral entry admission, Candidates must appear in JELET.
A merit list is prepared based on performance in these entrance examinations along with marks secured in the last qualifying examination. After completion of the counselling process candidates can reserve a seat in an affiliated college and discipline of their choice.

Admission into any of the disciplines for the 4-year B.Tech professional degree course is done strictly based on marks scored in WBJEE along with marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.
