Course Structure: The MA program is offered for a minimum duration of 2 academic years, i.e, 4 semesters. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters. Every specialization offers different variety of subjects and the marking schemes vary as per the subject as well. Many class tests/ assignments and other activities are carried out during the program.
Examinations: Examinations are conducted during the semester and at the end of each semester. The final marks are calculated by taking an aggregate of marks obtained by each candidate in each semester.
Evaluation: Evaluation is done on the basis of internal assessments and end semester examinations. Practicals/ Viva-Voce/ Class Tests also contribute to the evaluation pattern.
The university has a well setup placement cell which organizes all the placement related activities. A number of organizations visit the university every year to hire candidates from the talented pool. Last year, 122 students were placed in the university’s placement drive. MAKAUT colleges are better for MBA, compared to Vidyasagar University. In West Bengal, MAKAUT brand name is more recognized. It offers better placement opportunities for MBA as well. Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. visit MAKAUT placements frequently. The highest CTC received by the students is around INR 19 LPA. MAKAUT has many tie-ups with companies, so it's easier to get placements, and internships.
