Admission in the various MA streams of Vidyasagar University is conducted on the basis of candidate’s performance in ‘Common Entrance Test’ (CET) conducted by the university itself. 

• Online provisional admissions will be done on the basis of merit list and category wise availability of seats.
• Merit list will be prepared on the basis of UG (Hons) final percentage of marks (Part-I, Part-II & Part-III taking together) in case of annual system or UG (Hons) equivalent percentage of marks converted from CGPA, in case of semester (CBCS) system.
• Marks in the immediate preceding exams will be considered in case of a tie.
• Provisionally admitted candidates will be required to appear for physical verification of documents.

3. After successful registration, the applicants have to fill the form with their personal and academic details. Marks percentage in last qualifying examinations is mandatory.

Vidyasagar University, Midnapore MA Course Details

Vidyasagar University provides MA course under the Faculty of Arts & Commerce in below mentioned 10 specializations:

Course Structure: The MA program is offered for a minimum duration of 2 academic years, i.e, 4 semesters. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters. Every specialization offers different variety of subjects and the marking schemes vary as per the subject as well. Many class tests/ assignments and other activities are carried out during the program.

Examinations: Examinations are conducted during the semester and at the end of each semester. The final marks are calculated by taking an aggregate of marks obtained by each candidate in each semester.
