₹ 75,000Here are a few factors that differentiate IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata campuses.
As established earlier, the Delhi campus has its advantages, but IIFT Kolkata is striving hard to bridge the gap.
IIFT Kolkata campus was built in 2016 and is designed to meet the needs of students while also making them feel at home.
Every class is air-conditioned and well-equipped. The library is well-kept, and you can access many journals and research papers via the college's Wi-Fi. Except for placements, when Kolkata students travel to Delhi, IIFT Kolkata and IIFT Delhi never meet. Even so, by the time Kolkata students arrived in Delhi, more than 40 students had been placed in their summer companies.
Delhi students are the first to arrive at interviews, and most companies complete their selections before Kolkata students arrive. The Placement Committee offers to choose students and push them through the processes that impress them within the first two months. As a result, only those who are good at standing out, with or without doing any work, have a chance to work for a good company.
IIFT Kolkata campus is cutting-edge, with all the amenities and vibrant cultural life. IIFT Kolkata has placements that are similar to IIFT Delhi because both campuses have common placements, there is no discrimination, and the faculties are the same for both campuses.
If you are waitlisted for IIFT Delhi, you will need to pay a certain fee to reserve your seat. You will move up the list, as the students ranked higher than you opt-out.
So, to simplify, there are students who got selected for IIFT Delhi, students who are selected for IIFT Kolkata, and students who are waitlisted. As a student who got admission to IIFT Delhi opts out, the first student is the list of students admitted to IIFT Kolkata moves to the Delhi list, and consequently the first students on the waiting list get into the IIFT Kolkata list.
The waitlist starts moving after reputed B-School such as IIM ABCL, XLRI, FMS, JBIMS announces their results.
Life at IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata isn’t much different than any other B-Schools in the country. The first trimester will go by in a blur with multiple assignments, guest lectures, summer placement prep, etc. IIFT follows a regular schedule. There may be days with classes from 9 am to 9 pm. You will need to do your assignments, prepare case studies, study for quizzes, and also do extra-curricular activities.
Life outside academics is more fun in Delhi. There are more places to explore nearby the campus.
Most of the people have suggested that overall all the three colleges are good and you will not be facing any problem if you take admission in any one of them. The NITIE College is good operations management, MDI is good for General management and Human resource management and IIFT is good for International trade. So, it depends upon you which branch you are interested in.
The overall reviews of these colleges are as follows:
MDI:

The comparison table of MDI, NITIE, and IIFT Kolkata are as follows:

If you are interested in pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in Kolkata, there are a few steps you will need to take to apply for admission:
It is important to note that the admission process for IIFT Kolkata can be highly competitive, and it is recommended to start preparing for the entrance exams well in advance. Additionally, it is important to keep track of the important dates and deadlines for admission and to ensure that all required documents and fees are submitted on time.
Yes, you can get a call from IIFT Kolkata. But it will depend on your rank. Your preference will play a role in your selection, only if you can secure the cutoff required for IIFT Delhi. It has a higher cutoff requirement, and top rankers are allotted seats in IIFT Delhi. So, the campus allotment depends completely on your final rank. If you have a lower rank than IIFT Delhi cut off, you will get IIFT Kolkata, irrespective of your preference.
NMIMS Mumbai is a better option among these, especially for Finance specialization. Located in Mumbai, the Finance capital of the country, it offers huge locational advantages. Many big names in the Industry take part in NMIMS Mumbai placements. Infosys, Accenture, Aditya Birla Capital, etc. took part in the 2022 placement drive. The average CTC offered to students this year was INR 19.40 LPA.
NMIMS focuses on hands-on learning. Various learning resources offered by the institute includes Bloomberg labs, access to a huge repository of market data and e-journals, WeCare internship program, etc.
Although NMIMS has a large alumni base, in terms of facilities, and exposure, it is better than IIFT Kolkata.
In the previous year during the time of admission, the selections were really unpredictable. Students with high-end percentile were kept on the waitlist and some students with low percentile were selected immediately.
Even if you take a year gap you’ll most probably stay on the same level as before. If you get into IIM-A, IIM-B you will pass on later and get a job based on no working experience. If you select IIFT Kolkata in the present year you might get a better chance than in IIM as a fresher in the year after. The only advantage you will have is the name and fame of IIM.
My friend is studying with NMIMS and it's good and easy to get into as well. There are 3 attempts available for NMAT whereas IIFT is a step higher on the difficulty scale. The positive aspect of this is that the crowd at IIFT has intellectuals.
Apart from this, here are some more highlights-
Lastly, you'll have to pay more at both colleges but IIFT would be INR 3-4 lakhs cheaper than NMIMS and IIFT has a stupendous alumni network in the area of international trade. You may now decide based on your future goals.
