AKTU offers the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with 41 different specialization. Duration of all the B.Tech courses are four years. AKTU affiliated colleges also accept lateral entry (direct admission in second year) in all the B.Tech courses. The duration for the lateral entry course is three years.

AKTU conducts BTech admissions through JEE Main followed by UPTAC counselling. Applicants should have passed his or her 10+2 level exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

• Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.
• AKTU also accepts 20% of total sanctioned candidates on the basis of JEE Main as per the State Govt. norms.
• For lateral admission, candidates should have minimum 60% of marks in 3-4 years diploma or B.Sc from a recognized university sanctioned by U.P board of education.

Note: Migration to UPTU from any other University is not permitted. However, a student of affiliated college/institution or college enrolled in any other University may be allowed to migrate to the University provided he/she fails.

NRI & Kashmiri Migrants Quota: NRI quota will constitute of 5% of the total available seats. One seat will be offered for Kashmiri migrants (Son/Daughter of Kashmiri Migrants) in each institution.

AKTU BTech Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

In addition to B.Tech, AKTU also offers bachelor’s degree in different fields, namely B.Pharm, B.Arch, BHMCT, BFAD and BFA. The durations of B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD and BFA are 4 years. B.Pharm lateral entry requires three years to complete the course while B.Arch and MAM dual degree require 5 years duration.

The candidates applying for these courses are required to appear for the CUET UG entrance exam conducted by NTA. Candidates interested in B.Pharm and B.Arch should have a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 level examination.

AKTU UG Selection Criteria

Admission to UG courses at AKTU is done on the basis of scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), conducted by NTA. For admission to the B.Arch program, candidates are required to appear in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) entrance examinations. final selection of the candidates will be based on the NATA scores which are further followed by the counseling process.

AKTU also offers the M.Tech course with specializations in 19 different subjects along with the M.Arch course. The duration of all the specialized M.Tech courses and M.Arch courses are four years and two years respectively.

Candidates should have passed their bachelor of engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and must appear in the CUET PG examination. Those belonging to SC, ST, PwD categories must score at least 54% marks in aggregate. Candidates should be at least 16 years old to be eligible to enroll for M.Tech program.

Candidates are intimated for the counselling process for M.Tech admission on the basis of CUET PG scores, AKTU entrance examination scores as well as qualifying degree examination marks, subject to availaibility of seats.

AKTU offers MCA, MBA and MAM and MCA dual degree courses. The course duration for Master of Computer Application and the Master of Business Administration degrees is three years. MCA is of two years.

Admission to all these courses except MBA are based on the CUET PG entrance examination conducted by NTA to get admission in the university. The final merit list is prepared considering the marks obtained in the entrance examination as well as in their previous qualifying examination.

AKTU also offers the M.Pharm course leading to a Master’s degree in pharmacy. The duration for M.Pharm is four years. Candidates should have achieved a bachelor degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Admission to the M.Pharm course is purely based on the merit of the candidates in their qualifying degree examination.

Note: Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates over candidates who are not GATE qualified.

Ph.D programmes are offered by AKTU in various specializations. Admission to the Ph.D. course is through a written entrance test followed by the interview round. The final merit list is prepared considering the performance of the candidates in the written test and interview along with the marks obtained by them in their previous qualifying examination.

Ph.D Selection Process: Students will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written test followed by interview cum presentation.

Ph.D Application Form: Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D prohgramme can apply by visiting the official website of UPTU. AKTU offers Ph.D admission once in a year (i.e. in July/August session).

Students can apply in both Online or offline mode. For offline mode, application form can be downloaded from the official website of UPTU. Application form must be filled & required to be sent to the University address with all the desired documents. In the case of online application form, students can directly fill & pay the desired application fee.
