AKTU Admission 2024 Quick Updates

AKTU admission 2024 based on various national entrance examinations for all UG and PG programs will begin soon. Some important updates about AKTU admissions are as follows:

JEE Main 2024 exam (Session 1) for BTech admissions will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2024.
CUET PG 2024 registrations are open now and the last date to apply is January 24, 2024. Interested candidates can register online on the official website @pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. CUET PG 2024 exam will be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024.
CUET UG 2024 registrations will begin soon. CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024.

AKTU Admission 2023 is primarily based on entrance examinations. Admissions to the AKTU flagship BTech program are offered on the basis of rank secured in the JEE Main examination followed by the UPTAC counselling process. Apart from the B.Tech program, AKTU offers admission to the various UG and PG programs through CUET examination.

Admission to the AKTU MBA program is a 2-step process i.e. qualifying for the CUET PG exam and appearing in the counseling process conducted by the AKTU itself. However, candidates with CMAT entrance scores are also eligible to apply for the program. AKTU conducts a research-based entrance test for admission to the Ph.D. program. AKTU B.Tech Admission 2023

AKTU offers the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with 41 different specialization. Duration of all the B.Tech courses are four years. AKTU affiliated colleges also accept lateral entry (direct admission in second year) in all the B.Tech courses. The duration for the lateral entry course is three years.

AKTU conducts BTech admissions through JEE Main followed by UPTAC counselling. Applicants should have passed his or her 10+2 level exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.
AKTU also accepts 20% of total sanctioned candidates on the basis of JEE Main as per the State Govt. norms.
For lateral admission, candidates should have minimum 60% of marks in 3-4 years diploma or B.Sc from a recognized university sanctioned by U.P board of education.

AKTU UG Admission 2023: B.Pharm, BHMCT, B.Arch & BFAD

In addition to B.Tech, AKTU also offers bachelor’s degree in different fields, namely B.Pharm, B.Arch, BHMCT, BFAD and BFA. The durations of B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD and BFA are 4 years. B.Pharm lateral entry requires three years to complete the course while B.Arch and MAM dual degree require 5 years duration.

The candidates applying for these courses are required to appear for the CUET UG entrance exam conducted by NTA. Candidates interested in B.Pharm and B.Arch should have a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 level examination.

AKTU UG Selection Criteria

Admission to UG courses at AKTU is done on the basis of scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), conducted by NTA. For admission to the B.Arch program, candidates are required to appear in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) entrance examinations. final selection of the candidates will be based on the NATA scores which are further followed by the counseling process.

AKTU M.Tech. and M.Arch. Admission 2023

AKTU also offers the M.Tech course with specializations in 19 different subjects along with the M.Arch course. The duration of all the specialized M.Tech courses and M.Arch courses are four years and two years respectively.

Candidates should have passed their bachelor of engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and must appear in the CUET PG examination. Those belonging to SC, ST, PwD categories must score at least 54% marks in aggregate. Candidates should be at least 16 years old to be eligible to enroll for M.Tech program.

Candidates are intimated for the counselling process for M.Tech admission on the basis of CUET PG scores, AKTU entrance examination scores as well as qualifying degree examination marks, subject to availaibility of seats.

AKTU PG Admission 2023: MCA, MBA and M.Pharm.

AKTU offers MCA, MBA and MAM and MCA dual degree courses. The course duration for Master of Computer Application and the Master of Business Administration degrees is three years. MCA is of two years.

Admission to all these courses except MBA are based on the CUET PG entrance examination conducted by NTA to get admission in the university. The final merit list is prepared considering the marks obtained in the entrance examination as well as in their previous qualifying examination.

Candidates should have achieved a bachelor degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Admission to the M.Pharm course is purely based on the merit of the candidates in their qualifying degree examination.

Note: Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates over candidates who are not GATE qualified.

AKTU Ph.D. Admission 2023

Ph.D programmes are offered by AKTU in various specializations. Admission to the Ph.D. course is through a written entrance test followed by the interview round. The final merit list is prepared considering the performance of the candidates in the written test and interview along with the marks obtained by them in their previous qualifying examination.

Documents required at the time of Admission: After the interview round, shortlisted students have to present the following documents after the selection committee:

Ph.D Application Form: Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D prohgramme can apply by visiting the official website of UPTU. AKTU offers Ph.D admission once in a year (i.e. in July/August session).

Students can apply in both Online or offline mode. For offline mode, application form can be downloaded from the official website of UPTU. Application form must be filled & required to be sent to the University address with all the desired documents. In the case of online application form, students can directly fill & pay the desired application fee.

Note: The final application form received, may be verified by the screening committee constituted by the Vice chancellor of the University.

AKTU, formerly UPTU provide admission in various Government Aided, Private Unaided institutions affiliated to AKTU. Admissions are conducted via CUET for B.Tech, B.Arch, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, MBA, MCA & MAM programs along with the lateral entry. Students can follow the below-mentioned steps in order to fill an online application form:

Visit the official website of CUET.
Click on the Application link of desired course.
Now register by providing details such as name, email id, mobile number, etc.
Also, create a password for future login during registration time and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Upon successful registration, you will receive a registration number on email id and mobile number.
Using the password and registration number proceed to fill the application form with every single detail.
Upload scanned images of photograph and signature.
Now pay the application fee via Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
On payment, you will receive a message of successful payment on email id as well as mbile number.

AKTU Scholarships 2023

AKTU offers financial assistance to meritorious students of SC/ST & OBC category under the regulations of UP State Scholarship scheme. Every year, UP state releases the notification for fee reimbursement for the students of AKTU & its affiliated colleges. Students studying in the affiliated colleges of AKTU can register themselves for the fee waiver through Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement online system of UP state.

New students can register online for UPTU Scholarship by visiting the official portal designed for fee reimbursement procedure. Existing students can also check their status by following the below-mentioned steps:

Visit the official page of UP State scholarship.
In the main menu, click on Student ->Login (After Registration) -> Post metric course.

Remarks:

The admission process was very tough, in the process eligibility was in the 12th class by at least 60% then you can apply for the university entrance exam form and then according to your ranking you get college admission. Nowadays you can find the application form on the internet university's official website and the application fee was nearly about one thousand approximately. Reservation benefits available during admission if you are scheduled cast then your admission fee was nearly about 80000 or on scholarship if you are OBC then your admission fees was 50000+scholarship, if you are General then your admission fee was nearly about 100000.

Not likely good college.

Remarks:

To take admission to this college, first, a candidate must have a graduate degree in mathematics. Any can take admission through CUET entrance and can take admission directly to the college without any entrance. Fee structure for MCA:- 128k per year. Any person who is from the UP and has taken the CUET entrance will have to pay only 50% of the fee.

Remarks:

This course required 10+2. You must have Physics, Chemistry & Maths in 12th class Application forms find in the reception hall on the college campus. There is no reservation benefit in the college.

Exploring Pros & Cons of AKTU

Remarks:

The eligibility of the B.tech(CSE) is :- You must have passed the 12th from any recognized board with having more than 50% marks. Also applied for JEE Main Entrance Examination. The admission process was so simple. You only need to apply for JEE MAIN Entrance examination. On the basis of the marks on the JEE MAIN they will allot you colleges. You can get Reservation too if you belong to SC,ST or OBC category provided by UP Government every year.

The admission process is quite easy and simple. If you have given any entrance test such as i had given UPTET exam and i take admission through counselling process. But if you didn't give any exam you can directly take admission on behalf of your marks in previous classes. The AKTU Grace marks procedure varies depending on the academic year and courses. Students of B.Tech, B.Pharm, BFAD, BFA, BHMCT, MCA, MCA(I), MBA, MBA(I), B.Arch who were admitted under the CBCS system from session 2016-17, can get a maximum of 7 grace marks per year. If you are an M.Tech, M.Pharm, or M.Arch student admitted under the same academic session, you can get a maximum of 5 grace marks. Students who took admission to B.Tech, MBA, MBA (I), in the academic session 2018-19, can get a maximum of 10 grace marks per year. B.VOC and M.Tech (I) students of 2019-20 sessions can get a maximum grace mark of 3 and 7 per year, respectively. B.Pharm and M.Pharm students admitted under PCI ordinance from session 2019-20, can get 7 and 5 grace marks per year respectively. AKTU follows an absolute grading system in which each semester result is converted into Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA). The Yearly Grade Point Average (YGPA) is calculated each year. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is calculated after the end semester of the program. SGPA - SGPA (Si) = (Ci * Gi)/Ci It is the ratio of the product of the number of credits with the grade points scored by the students in all the courses taken by them and the sum of the courses undergone by them. Ci is the number of credits of the ith course and Gi is the grade points scored by the student. YGPA - Yearly grade point average is calculated at the end of each year. YGPA =SGPA(odd)*Ci(odd)+SGPA(even)*Ci(even)/(Ci(odd)+Ci(even)) CGPA - CGPA is calculated in the same way by taking into account all the courses taken by a student throughout the semesters of a particular program. CGPA =(Ci*Si)/Ci Here, Ci is the total number of credits in the ith semester and Si is the SGPA of the ith semester.

Well AKTU has changed the passing rules for students. The students have to score at least 50% credit marks including theory and practical exam marks. Before this rule, students had to score 60% credit separately in Theory Exam and Practical Exams. Now credit is something which you get after clearing the exams. Credits are given by combining the internal and external results. And passing the external exam is a must. If you have internal back but you score well in university exams and clear the subject then you will also earn credit. AKTU Passing Rules: First/ Second/ Third Year Back Rule are as follows. If you get 1000 marks but have 4 subjects back still you shall be promoted. If you have 1000 marks with 5 backs you fall under the year back situation. And if you score less than 1000 marks or have 4 subjects back then you are promoted but you have to cover 1000 marks in one year. Final Year Back Rules are as follows. In the final year, you have to study in all 9 subjects and have to pass 6 subjects maximum. But if you have more than 3 subjects back then you will fail the exam. Now, these are a few year-back rules in AKTU which you should keep in mind.

The 1st year syllabus is almost the same for all branches. The subjects covered are related to basic engineering and aren’t too difficult. You will be studying basic, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer, etc. Most of the topics, you would have covered in your 12th itself. Although the syllabus of maths will be slightly different.

I have a friend from AKTU. He was able to give some information regarding this. According to him, pass-out students get special carryout papers for their first year back paper only. Recently AKTU decided to give 4 years to clear back papers to the students. So, you can clear the back paper even after your final year. You can also clear your back papers semester-wise.

You will only learn the theoretical aspects of engineering. It doesn’t offer the practical hands-on experience students require to excel in the technical field. Most students usually get placed in the IT sector, irrespective of their branches. The highlights of recent AKTU placements show the average package offered by the institute to be around INR 2-3 LPA.

If you have a backlog in a semester, you need to fill out a carryover form and retake the examination for that subject with your juniors. For odd semester subjects, you need to appear in the next odd semester and for even semester subjects, you need to appear in the next even semester. After you clear the backlog, AKTU will issue a new marksheet. The final result will show pass.
