DEI offers a full-time B.Tech and B.Arch courses in various disciplines for the duration of four years. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with PCM from a recognized board. JEE Main passed candidates are eligible to secure admission in B.Tech while NATA qualified candidates are eligible for B.Arch. Final admission is based on the performance in Academics and Interview. DEI also offers B.Tech course in Integrated and Part-Time mode.

Key Points:

• B.Tech Electrical Engineering (Part-Time)  course is available for male candidates only.
• Relaxation of 5% marks will be given to SC/ST and PWD candidates.
• Candidates age should not be more than 21 years (24 years for SC/ST) at the time of admission to B.Tech and B.Arch courses.
• Students seeking admission to B.Com (H)+ B.Tech and BBA (H)+ B.Tech can also apply without JEE Main score. Such students must note that JEE Score component will be treated as zero at the time of final admission.
• For all undergraduate courses, admission to 20% seats in supersymmetry division will be offered on the basis of a decision made by Director, Admission Committee.
• Applicants who had applied for any UG or PG course offered by DEI and could not succeed to secure admission will get one chance to get their applications transferred to a PG Diploma program with respect to the eligibility criteria.

DEI offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BFA, B.Voc and B.Ed courses in various specializations. 10+2 in a relevant subject group is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. For B.Ed, a Graduation degree is a must. Admission is granted on the basis of marks in 10+2 and performance in the Written Test conducted by DEI followed by an Interview. Candidates have to secure at least 30% marks in the Written Test in order to be eligible for the Interview round. DEI also offers Integrated BA, B.Sc, B.Com and B.Ed  courses.

DEI offers M.Tech (Regular, Part-Time & Integrated), MBA and PG Diploma courses in various streams at postgraduate level. BE/ B.Tech in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for M.Tech. Any Bachelor’ degree holder can apply for MBA program. Graduation in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility for PG Diploma courses. DEI conducts separate Entrance Test to provide admission but for MBA courses, candidates have to appear in an additional round of GD and PI.

DEI offers MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed and M.Voc courses at PG level in various disciplines. Minimum eligibility criteria for all PG courses is a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline. Admission will be offered after analyzing the past academic record and score in the Written Test followed by an Interview. DEI also offers MA and M.Sc programs in Integrated mode.

Key Points:

• Only female candidates are eligible to apply for MA in Drawing & Painting/ Music and M.Sc (Home Science) Courses.
• Applicants who had applied for any UG or PG course offered by DEI and could not succeed to secure admission will get one chance to get their applications transferred to a PG Diploma program with respect to the eligibility criteria.

In addition to UG and PG courses, DEI also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses in various specializations. For admission to M.Phil and Ph.D., candidates must have passed Master’s degree in the relevant subject with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. is based on the score in Objective Type Written Test and RET respectively. Final admission is based on the assessment of past academic record, Entrance Score and Interview.

Application forms for Ph.D. are available twice in a year in the months of February and August. Duly filled application forms can be submitted up to March 01 (February session) and September 01 (August session) every year.

Details of RET: Students have to pass RET (objective-type) to secure admission in Ph.D. program.  RET will be of one and half hour duration with three sections covering Aptitude, Subject-specific knowledge. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Exemption from RET:  NET-JRF/ NET-LS/ SLET or GATE qualified candidates are exempted from RET. Permanent teacher of DEI with at least two papers published in a standard Journal are also exempted.

 Key Points:

• M.Phil courses in Faculty of Arts are open for female candidates only.
• There is 5% relaxation for SC/ ST / OBC category candidates and PWDs.
• Candidates with M.Phil. from DEI are exempted from RET.

Written Objective Test (90 minutes) for M.Phil program will consist three sections with following topics:

Dayalbagh Educational Institute also offers distance education programs (DEI DEP) such as B.Com, BBA, MBA, M.Com and PG Diploma. Admission is granted through central DEI Written Test.

Those seeking admission to distance education courses must give a copy of their application to the designated Study Center where they will be allowed to write the admission test.
