Latest Update: Tripura University has recently announced the 4th merit list for admission to M.A in History on December 12, 2020. The university has also announced the results for TDP /TDPH BA (Pass and Hons including that of distance education) on November 27, 2020. Both the merit list and the results are available for download on the official website of the University. 

Tripura University B.Ed. Admission Dates 2021

Tripura University offers a two years Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) program under the School of Education. The duration of the course is two years.

The minimum requirement for B.Ed. in Tripura University is a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.

Admission to the B.Ed. course is however based on the marks scored in the admission test conducted by the university.

Tripura University B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must fulfil one of the following eligibility criteria to be qualified for the admission process:

• Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s Degree in Science / Social Science / Humanities with at least 50%.

OR

• BE/B.Tech with a specialization in Science or Mathematics with at least 55% or any other equivalent qualifications.

Note: SC/ST/OBC candidates are given 5% relaxation in marks.

Tripura University B.Ed. Admission Guidelines

Tripura University conducts an entrance test (TUET) for admission in B.Ed. course. The candidates are selected for the course based on marks scored in the entrance test. 

How to Apply?

• Visit the portal of Online Admission of Tripura University.
• Now click on “Regular Courses”.
• Click on “Go to online application form”
• If you are a new user, click on “Register Now” to register yourself in the admission portal and then log into the account with the credentials.
• However, if you are an existing user, fill in the credentials and log into the account.
• Fill the application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 800 if you are a UR / EWS / OBC applicant and INR 600 if you are an SC/ST/PWD applicant.
• Applicants selected for the entrance test must carry an original photo identity proof along with the print out of the Admit Card.
• Based on the score obtained in the entrance exam, the university will release a merit list on the official website.
• The selected applicants will be asked to visit the university for counselling and to complete the admission procedure.

Tripura University B.Ed. Course Details

The B.Ed program at Tripura University has a well-structured course curriculum. The entire Bachelor in Education course is divided into four semesters and two parts. Part I consist of Foundation of Education, and Pedagogical Knowledge whereas, Part II consists of Pedagogical content knowledge and, practical based knowledge. The last semester of Part II focuses mainly on a compulsory internship in teaching.
