Ramthakur College, an affiliated college of the University of Tripura, is a co-educational institution and teaches at the graduate level in different subjects.

The College was founded in 1967 in Town Pratapgarh by Late Pramod Ranjan Bhatta. The College presently has Humanities, Science and Commerce streams of nearly 3000 students. Ramthakur College Admissions

The criteria for admission to various programs of study are considered on the basis of merit as per guidelines of Tripura University and reservation policy of the Government of Tripura for SC/ST candidates.

How to Apply?

  • Notification of entry to all programs are published centrally in leading local/state daily newspapers in the first week (tentative) of June by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Tripura. 
  • Candidates can apply offline by going to the college and buying a form.
  • Separate merit lists shall be drawn up for candidates in the General Category, Scheduled Tribe Category, and Scheduled Caste Category for each course of study under B.Sc. and B.Com.
  • The final preference list of candidates shall be drawn up by the College Admission Committee on the basis of merit in their respective categories.

  1. Post Metric Scholarship for LIG Students: is a grant for students whose parent/guardian have income less than Rs. 60,000/-per year in the amount of Rs. 90 p.m. Hosteller (Host.) and Rs.50 p.m. As a Day Scholar (D.S.) for a 10-month academic year.
  2. Post Metric Scholarship for Merit-cum-Means Students: Merit-cum-Means scholarship is available to well-deserved students with (55-60) percent marks at the +2 level 
  3. Post Metric Scholarship for Girls: There is a scholarship for girls students, obtained at least 45% marks at the +2.
  4. Post-Metric Scholarship to SC Students: is a scholarship for students in the program caste (SC) group whose parent/guardian income is less than Rs.2.50,000/-per year 
  5. Post Metric Scholarship for ST Students: is a scholarship for students in the scheduled tribe (ST) group whose parent/guardian whose income is less than Rs.2.50,000/-per year 
  6. Post Metric Scholarship for OBC Students: There is a grant for students in the OBC group whose parent/guardian whose income is less than Rs. 1.000.000/-per year.
