Course Description

Kalasalingam University admissions for the session 2023-24 is closed. Selection is done on the basis of entrance examination and personal interview conducted by the Department Research Committee. Based on that performance, eligible students are shortlisted.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education is deemed to be a university and offers the PhD program in various streams such as Engineering, English, Management, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be qualified with one of the following:

Master's degree in relevant subjects with first class or minimum 60% marks ( CGPA 6.5 on a 10 - point scale).

Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Business Administration with a first-class or a minimum 60% marks ( CGPA 6.5 on a 10 - point scale) or equivalent like M.Sc(Engineering)/M.S. by Research.

Masters degree with a minimum of 60% in Sciences/Masters degree with a minimum of 55% in Humanities/Social Sciences/Languages.

Admissions for the PhD programs are offered on the basis of the entrance test and interview conducted by the Department Research Committee of the college.

How to Apply?

Candidates can find the application form on the official website of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education(Deemed to be University).
The candidates have to fill the basic registration form which contains information such as name, SSLC certificate number, date of birth, gender, valid mobile number, valid email id, Nationality, and Aadhar Number.
Login with details sent to your registered email id or mobile number. Fill in all the required relevant details.

I am not sure how Kalasalingam University's education, faculty, facilities, and placements are. There are numerous options available, but if you must select between Bharat University and Veltech University, both are excellent in every way. Whether it's about facilities, faculty, college and hostel life, security, food, Campus, Placements, and so on. You will not be sorry if you chose any of them. And, as I previously stated, these are engineering colleges, so you will learn a great deal. The best thing is that you'll be interacting with people from all over India. Every single student from around the state is going to be on your campus. As a result, educate yourself and improve. Categories Bharath University Vel Tech University Course Fee 6 lakh 2 lakh Highest CTC 12 LPA 10-12 LPA Average CTC 3.8 LPA 3-5 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, L&T, Dell, Oracle, etc. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, etc. If you really have a choice between these two, then go for any of them, cause both are equally good. Kalasalingan University is average at best. You won’t get any advanced material for learning. A few of the department has well-experienced faculties. However, most of the faculties are freshers. According to the recent highlights, Kalasalingam University placement scenario is decent. The average CTC offered at the campus placement is 4.50 LPA. The hostel accommodation is not up to the mark, especially the boy’s hostel. The wifi connection on campus has restrictions on many useful pages.

A few of my friends graduated from Kalasalingam University. According to them, the college offers decent academics and infrastructural facilities. The college is accredited by UGC. Teaching is mostly examination-oriented. Classes and examinations are conducted on time. You will need to maintain 80% attendance to sit in the examination. Most faculties are friendly. In college premises, students need to maintain proper dressing. Wearing jeans isn’t allowed for both boys and girls. Girls are only allowed to wear churidar and shawl. The hostel accommodation is decent. The 1st year hostels are separate. Hostel rooms have an occupancy of 3 people. The rooms have all basic amenities. The rooms and washrooms are well-maintained and cleaned regularly. Food offered at the mess is decent.

One of my friends studied at Kalasalingam University. According to him the college was average but it had several improvements too, but still the institute did not change as expected. There are many things problematic with the college, these include: The overall infrastructure of the campus is fine, but the hostels are not well maintained. The rooms are not hygienic enough and there is always a scarcity of pure drinking water. The food offered in the mess is also not hygienic nor healthy. The washrooms are not cleaned regularly. There is also a scarcity of bathing water. No mobiles are allowed inside the campus. Laptops can be used only for educational purposes before the classes start or post 8 PM. To reach your block you have to walk for almost 2 kilometers. Security in the hostels are bad, often things go missing. Communication skills of professors are too bad, which is a very bad influence on the students. Therefore, it is suggested that you do not consider this institution for your studies, as it offers a very bad environment which can impact a student’s intellectual growth.

The reviews of the students are not usually bad. But when you compare Kalasalingam University to other more established universities, it lags a bit behind in the college rankings. But the college rankings are not given by students, so their views vary. This college really has good facilities, a huge library, green campus, etc. They also have a well experienced and highly cooperative faculty. The college might have some faults which is why the NIRF ranking is not good. But other than that it is quite a good college with sufficient amenities.

The Kalasalingam University hostel facilities are good. For boys, there are regular hostels and pg hostels. For girls, there are only regular hostels. Rooms have an occupancy of 2 to 4. There are a limited number of rooms with attached bathrooms. Food offered in mess is average. You will get to choose between regular South Indian Food and North Indian food. Water is a major issue sometimes. There are even days when the whole campus runs out of water.

The placements are also better here than Kalasalingam. But on a side note, never keep your expectations high as very few students receive good job offers. TCS recruited more than 50 graduates consisting of engineering students and some other graduates. The placements are said to have improved but not much. After TCS, a lot of IT companies visit like Mindtree, IBM, etc. But they do not offer a decent salary. Overall, Kalasalingam University is good considering educational facilities, infrastructure, faculties, examinations, sports activities, cultural activities, hostel facilities, hostel mess facilities, University cafeteria and the very welcoming crowd.
