Applicants should have passed a Bachelor's degree in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate from a UGC recognized university.
Bharathidasan University MBA Selection Process
For being selected for an MBA course students need to go through entrance exams. Students need to have a qualified score in the CAT/TANCET/MAT/GATE entrance exam. Final selection will be followed by Group Discussion, Personal Interview and counselling process conducted by the Director of Technical Education (DOTe).

Bharathidasan University MBA Course Details:
Bharathidasan University offers an MBA program for the duration of 2 years which includes 4 semesters. The course is offered in 4 specialisations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, System Management. Willing students must pass a graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate. Each batch has a strength of 60 students.
The MBA course has a total 120 number of credits. The university offers 5 elective subjects in semester 3 and semester 4.
Students can choose elective courses as per their own preferences from the first semester. The course has one dissertation project work with 80 marks and viva-voce with 20 marks. The dissertation should be done in semester 3 and viva will be conducted in semester 4.
In the first and second semesters out of eight core courses, students can choose six core courses. In the third semester out of three core courses, students must choose two core subjects and in the final semester out of two core subjects students are required to choose one core subject. Every student gets the opportunity of summer vacation after finishing the second semester.
- Duration: The duration of MBA in Bharathidasan University is 2 years which includes 4 semesters. The duration of the course can be extended upto 4 years. It is a full time regular on campus based program.
- End Term Evaluation: In the semester 3 students need to do project work which includes a Dissertation and Viva-Voce. The dissertation has 80 marks and Viva holds 20 marks. The dissertation required to submit in semester 3 and the viva-voce will be taken by the authority in semester 4.
- Attendance: 75% and above percentage is required to be eligible to write exam without Condonation fee. If a student has 65% to 74% attendance then the student can sit for the examination with the condonation fees. And below 65%, students are required re-doing the Semester after completion of the programme.
- Program Structure: Total 120 credits are there in an MBA course. The total marks contain 2600. Students are required to choose 6 core courses out of 8 core courses during 1st & 2nd semester. In the 3rd semester students need to choose two core courses and for the 4th there is one core course to choose.
