M.Sc & M.Phil courses are offered at PG level in different disciplines. Admission to both the program is granted on the basis of Candidates’ performance in the entrance test conducted by the university. Tests for both the courses are conducted at different centers located in Chennai.
Candidate must be a graduate in the same or related discipline for admission to M.Sc program while for M.Phil, a Master’s degree in the same or related field of research is required.
For admission to the M.Phil. program, candidates’ previous academic record will also be put under review. Only exceptional candidates with a good academic record will be selected. M.Sc Entrance Test is a two-hour test with 100 MCQs for 100 marks. I/3 marks are deducted for a wrong attempt.

Comparably Anna University is better than Amrita University. It is a state government university and changes a lower course fee. The institute offers great academics. Madras Institute of Technology is under Anna University. These two aren’t separate. If you want good job profiles with cushy salary packages, after completing your degree, MIT isn’t a good option. No, the maximum duration to complete your degree in Anna University is 7 years. This includes 4 years in college and 3 additional years for those who are unable to complete their degree within 4 years. But after 7 years you cannot complete your degree.
