Ever since Anna University became an affiliating university there is an air of uncertainty about it. According to some of my friends studying there, Anna University’s overall performance depends mostly on their students and faculty members.

Quality of Students: 

• The most important stakeholders are undoubtedly the students. 
• Anna University has a lot of student associations such as SQC, CTF, CSAU that are involved in encouraging the freshers to follow their passions. 
• The alumni are working all around the world which tells you how good the placement records of Anna University are. 
• Through these associations, the alumni interact with the students.
• During the third year of the undergraduate program, the students get the opportunity to go to countries like Germany and Canada. 
• With the increase in the number of students, the need for infrastructure has also increased. 
• Students may find it difficult to find placements as the number of companies visiting the university is the same.

Quality of Faculty:

• The professors know a lot about the subjects that they are in charge of teaching. 
• The coursework and exam schedule can be a bit stressful for the students, unfortunately. 
• Unnecessary documentations are asked to be created by the students which is another drawback. 
• The research community can sometimes be inactive.
• The courses at Anna University are offered under eight faculties and over 30 departments. Most of them are highly experienced in their respective fields. 

The industry appropriate academics and the strong support and guidance of the faculty are the major reasons why Anna University is considered good, maybe not perfect but good enough to stand tall.
