University of Kota M.Sc Important Dates 2023

The University of Kota offers full-time 2 year MSc courses in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Geography, BioTechnology, Microbiology, Wildlife Science, and Mathematics. 

• The course is divided into 4 semesters across a duration of 2 years.
• To apply for an MSc course in the University of Kota, Students must pass his/her Bachelor's in the respective discipline with a minimum score of 55% for General candidates and 40% for reserved candidates from a recognized institution. 
• The candidates can apply for admission through online mode only.

University of Kota M.Sc. Eligibility

The aspirants of the Masters of Science degree must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the specific subjects. Only those who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply for admission.

Chemistry:

Candidates must pass three/ four years of B. Sc degree in relevant subjects with a minimum 55% score for students from universities in Rajasthan and 60% for students from Universities outside Rajasthan.

Physics:

Candidates must pass the B.Sc. (Maths) with a minimum 55% score for students from universities in Rajasthan and 60% for students from Universities outside Rajasthan.

Biology:

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science and Education (B.Sc.-B.Ed.) in biology, chemistry, botany, zoology, BSc degree in Biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, bioinformatics, environmental science, pharmaceutical science, biology, chemistry, botany, zoology or BTech in Biotechnology. Candidates should secure a minimum 55% score for students from universities in Rajasthan and 60% for students from Universities outside Rajasthan.

Botany, Zoology and Microbiology:

Candidates must pass the Three / Four year B. Sc. (Hons) degree in relevant subject or Four years Bachelor of Technology and Science (B. Sc.-Tech.) or Science and Teacher Education (B. Sc.-B. Ed.) degree with a relevant paper. Candidates should secure a minimum 55% score for students from universities in Rajasthan and 60% for students from Universities outside Rajasthan.

Mathematics:

Candidates must pass the B.A. Mathematics with a minimum of 48 % aggregate score and 48% in Mathematics or B.Sc. Mathematics with 55 % aggregate score and 55% in Mathematics.

Geography:

Candidates must pass three years B. A or B. Sc course in Geography with 50% minimum marks.

Wildlife Science:

Candidates must have a bachelor degree in Science/ Medical Science/ Engineering/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Pharmacy/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications or an equivalent degree. Candidates should secure a minimum 55% score for students from universities in Rajasthan and 60% for students from Universities outside Rajasthan.

Candidates are selected for admission to MSC course on the basis of performance of entrance examination conducted by the University.

The application process is online and no offline forms are accepted by the university. To apply for the MSc course candidates can follow the given steps:

• Candidates must visit the official website of the University of Kota 
• Click on the ‘Admission’ and register yourselves
• Then fill in the application form by choosing the desired course and entire the required personal and educational information
• Following this, submit the application form and take a printout of the same for future reference. 
• Once this is done, the merit list will be released and candidates will be allocated seats based on their ranks.
