Aspirants seeking admission to 2 years Full-time M.Sc Programme should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

- B.Sc. degree under 10+2+3 pattern with Botany as a main subject of study, or
- Three / Four year B. Sc. (Hons) degree in Botany or
- Four year Bachelor of Science and Technology (B. Sc.-Tech.) or Science and Teacher Education (B. Sc.-B. Ed.) degree with Botany as a paper.
