NLU, Jodhpur offers BBA + LLB (Hons.) and BA + LLB (Hons.) under its five-year integrated UG programs; MBA in Insurance Risk Management and Insurance along with one-year L.L.M. degree in two streams viz. NLU, Jodhpur Application Process

National Law University (NLU) was established in the year 1999 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The application process conducted by the university is offline.

Selection of the candidates in the BBA+LLB (Hons.) and BA+LLB (Hons.) program is strictly on the basis of CLAT and satisfying the eligibility criteria of passing 10+2.
The selection of the candidates in MBA is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.
Only candidate with B.E./B.Tech, in Engineering (excluding Electronics/ Tele Communication/ Communication/ CS and IT) can apply for MBA Insurance Risk Management.
L.L.M. selection is based solely on the results of CLAT given applicant has LLB or five-year integrated LLB (Hons.) degree.
Admission to Ph.D. offered by NLU, Jodhpur is done on the basis of the National Level Entrance Test conducted by the university.
Admission in LL.D./ D.Sc./ D.Litt requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and selection is based on merit and research publications.

NLU, Jodhpur BBA-LLB (Hons.) and BA-LLB (Hons.) Admission 2023

The final selection of the candidates in the BBA-LLB (Hons.) and BA-LLB (Hons.) integrated courses is strictly based on CLAT score. Common Law Admission Test is a computer-based entrance for admission in various NLUs. Before applying, applicant should satisfy minimum eligibility criteria of passing 10+2 with 45% aggregate.

Key Points:

The maximum age for General candidate is 20 years while for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates, it is 22 years as on July 1.

NLU, Jodhpur MBA and LLM Admission 2023

Admission to both the MBA specializations is based on merit while LLM selection is based on score in CLAT. The aspiring candidates seeking admission in MBA requires to have a graduation with 55% marks. On the other hand, candidates looking for admission in LLM degree requires L.L.B./ Five years integrated L.L.B. (Hons.) with 55% marks.

Key Points:

The intake of L.L.M. candidate is 80 while for M.B.A. Insurance and Insurance Risk Management; the total intake is 20 and 15 seats respectively.
Candidates belonging to reserved categories are awarded with 5% relaxation in the aggregated score of the qualifying exam.

NLU, Jodhpur Ph.D. Admission 2023

The National Law University offers one doctoral program for which applicant requires a master’s degree in Law with 55% marks from a recognized university.

The final selection of the candidate is based on the National Level Entrance Test conducted by NLUJ along with the performance in the interview.

Key Points:

A relaxation of 5% to the aggregate score of Master’s degree is granted to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH categories.

NLU, Jodhpur LL.D., D.Sc., and D.Litt. Admission 2023

National Law University, Jodhpur offers higher research degrees in LL.D., D.Sc., and D.Litt. The candidates applying for admission in these courses requires a Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline. In addition to this, the candidates must have made significant contribution in the area of research in the concerned disciplines as evidenced by research publications in refereed journals.

NLU-J the rising sun in the field of law.

Remarks:

There are a total of 23 NLUs in India. NLU is the top law college in India. National law university Jodhpur stands at Rank 5 in India. To get into NLU one has to give an entrance exam named CLAT(common law admission test) and clear the minimum cut-off. This exam has negative marks as well. There will be 0.25 negative for every wrong answer. There are a total of 4 parts on which the exam is conducted i.e English, Reasoning (Critical and analytical), Legal aptitude, and maths. Every NLU has different Cut offs as per the ranking. After clearing the minimum cut-offs students will get allotted different NLUs as per their marks in the entrance exam. I personally dropped out for a year for getting into NLU'S. CLAT entrance exam is of 200 marks total out of which one has to clear the minimum cut-offs to get the NLU'S. I scored 88.9 marks out of 200 with a negative marking.

NLU Jodhpur is better than NLU Bhopal in all aspects. Compared to NLU Bhopal, NLU Jodhpur placement are better. Most students who choose campus placement, get job opportunities. According to the 2020 placement report, 60 students received recruitment. Mooting is one of the major factors that you should consider for choosing a law school. In mooting, no law school beats NLU J. It has a great mooting culture. NLU J students won a few National moots as well. The seniors at NLU J are great. They will go the extra mile to help you with your academics, moots, extracurricular activities. The academic schedule is rigorous. At NLU J you will have 4 tests for each subject, along with projects/mid-term and end-term examinations. There are also Court Room Exercises. You will hardly get any time off during the entire semester. NLU J has a great reputation among the legal fraternity. There are people working in firms in New York, in Geneva as well as in reputed firms in India. In terms of placements, opportunities, and academics, NLU Jodhpur is better.

Between NLIU Bhopal and NLUJ, the latter is slightly better in terms of certain parameters. NLIU Bhopal has a better reputation. It was established only 2 years before NLUJ, but it has a better alumni base. It also enjoys a locational advantage, as it is located in the same city as National Judicial Academy. NLU Jodhpur has more rigorous academics and a better faculty pool. As per the recent NLU J placement statistics, it offers better salary packages to the students. It is also better in terms of Moot performance. In the past, students from NLUJ have won a few national moots. If you want to pursue Judicial Services, Civil Services, Litigation, or LLM later on then NLU J is the better choice.

Yes, NLU Jodhpur offers a 25% reservation of seats for the Rajasthan Domicile students. Both UG and PG courses will have reserved seats. The required amendments to the 25% quota in NLU, Jodhpur needs to be done through the university. From this academic session onwards, the institute will provide domicile reservations to the Rajasthan students.
