Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU) offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG, and Doctorate levels. The courses are offered in various fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Management and Law. MGSU also offers BCA, Diploma, and PG Diploma courses in various disciplines under the Center of Entrepreneurship & Skill Development (CESD). MGSU admission to all the UG and PG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination. 

For UG Admissions, candidates should have passed Class 12 with 50% marks while candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field for PG admissions. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by MGSU. Admission to the M.Phil and Ph.D. programs is done through the entrance examination followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. Application forms for admission to the MGSU courses are being released on the official website of the university.

MGSU UG Admission 2023

Basic eligibility for B.A (Hons.) is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Admission is granted on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination followed by the document verification process.

MGSU UG Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates having passed 10+2 with 50% Marks are eligible for admission to B.Sc Yogic Science  and BA/ B.Sc (Hons.) Geography course.

The eligibility for admission to B.L.I.Sc course is graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks.

MGSU UG Selection Criteria

For Admission to B.Sc Yogic Science, BA/ B.Sc (Hons.) Geography and B.L.I.Sc courses candidates have to apply online on the university website. MGSU will release a merit list on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. 

Candidates having their names in the merit list will be called for document and fee submission to confirm the admission.

Graduate students having more than 50% marks can apply for Post graduate Diploma programs in MGSU. The University offers Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing, Computer Applications, Translation (English), and Yoga & Naturopathy.

Candidates who have completed Graduation in the relevant discipline with 50% Marks are eligible for admission to PG Diploma courses of MGSU Bikaner.

MGSU PG Selection Criteria

Admission to Post graduate courses will be granted on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2023

The minimum eligibility for M.Phil and Ph.D. courses is a pass in PG degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate. Admission is granted on the basis of a valid MPCET score (minimum 36% marks) followed by an interview. MPCET is the departmental entrance test conducted by the respective departments of MGSU.

Shortlisted students have to visit the Directorate of Research of MGSU in person with a DD of INR 3000 along with relevant marksheet and certificates.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirement for admission to M.Phil/ Ph.D programs of MGSU Bikaner is a postgraduate degree in a relevant course with at least 50% marks.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Selection Criteria

For admission to M.Phil and Ph.D courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of score of Combined Entrance Test (MPCET) followed by Interview

Pre-Ph.D. Research Work: Candidates admitted to the Ph.D. program need to complete a coursework of 6 months duration. Those candidates who will secure at least 45% marks in the coursework will be considered eligible for final Ph.D. registration.

Key Points:

  • There will be only one paper for each subject for the entrance test. The test will consist of 100 MCQs where each question carries the value of 1 marks. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. The duration of the entrance test will be 2 hours.
  • The question paper will be in both English and Hindi for subjects other than languages. For science subjects, the question paper will be in English only.
  • The Test will carry 100 marks. Merit will be drawn on the basis of combined marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Test followed by an interview.

  1. Visit the official website of MGSU.
  2. Click on “Admission”.
  3. Click on “register for application”.
  4. Fill the application form with due attention.
  5. After filling the application form, upload your scanned photograph & signature along with required documents.
  6. Click on “Submit”.
  7. Take the printout of duly filled application form and send the same along with the application fee receipt and relevant documents to VC Secretariat, Maharaja Ganga Singh University, N.H.-15, Jaisalmer Road, Bikaner PIN-334004 (Rajasthan). 
  8. Send the above mentioned documents by post or by hand during 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M

Ques. What are the admission criteria for UG courses at MGSU?

Ans. MGSU accepts admission to all the UG courses on the basis of merit obtained in the last qualifying examination. Willing candidates have to apply online on the official website of MGSU. Then based on merit secured in the last qualifying examination, the university will release a merit list. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the documents verification & fee submission to confirm the admission.

Ans. Admission to all the UG & PG courses at MGSU is purely merit-based. Admission to M.Phil & Ph.D. at MGSU is based on the score obtained in MPCET followed by an interview.

Ques. What are the rules for the Ph.D. entrance exam in MGSU?

Ans. There are specific rules for the Ph.D. entrance exam in MGSU that are mentioned below:

  • The medium of the entrance examination will be English and Hindi. However, for Science subjects the medium will be only English. 
  • The examination duration will be 2 hours.
  • The total number of questions will be 100 and each question will be of 3 marks. There will also be a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. 
  • The entrance examination will be followed by an interview of 30 students.
  • The interview will be taken by two subject experts to adjudge the research interest of the candidates.

Remarks:

There is no entrance exam you can take admission very easily in private, in public you need the best percentage of 10-12 class for the higher seats and low fees, and you can also give donations to access comfortable admission

Remarks:

Msc physics admission is based on BSc percentage. The form is available on the college campus. There is some concession in fee for ews. There is no. Need of any changes in the admission process as the staff and the principal of our college are very helping persons.

Remarks:

I have done my MA in a government college. So the admission was on merit-based admissions. I have 70% in B.So my admission was confirmed in the 1st merit list of the college. The admission process was so simple I did not feel any difficulty while taking admission.

You have to go to the college branch for admission, and there is a person in the office who tell you the whole process There is no entrance exam to enter bcom college but the percentage of 10 and 12 classes was taken for cutoff and to see

Pass with a minimum 50% mark in a graduation course from a recognized university and appear in an entreat test then you get a seat on an awesome campus. University gives 5% to 20 % marks benefits in various categories in its reservation policy for backwards students in various categories. It's the most popular university in our location and you get any details or news for courses or applications easily online or through many offline stores like E-Mitra Center running with associates of the Rajasthan government. And we fill out forms online for many courses as we need and after that, we need to deposit our needed certificates at various college campuses. After that, the out Merrit list at their news bored at the campus of the university and its recognised college campus they show cut-off marks to eligible for admission in various courses with various categories. After that deposit fees and take admission to your dream campus and build your future with great opportunities. I think network communication needs much more for the village

First of all, I give the PTET exam, and the marks required for eligibility were approx 280+ out of 600, the application form fees paying process and the dates to apply, all can be found on mgsu website, the link can be found on Google easily, but the sometimes the site didn't work properly, so I would like if this gets improved, and site works properly
