Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU) offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG, and Doctorate levels. The courses are offered in various fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Management and Law. MGSU also offers BCA, Diploma, and PG Diploma courses in various disciplines under the Center of Entrepreneurship & Skill Development (CESD). MGSU admission to all the UG and PG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

For UG Admissions, candidates should have passed Class 12 with 50% marks while candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field for PG admissions. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by MGSU. MGSU UG Eligibility Criteria

Candidates having passed 10+2 with 50% Marks are eligible for admission to B.Sc Yogic Science and BA/ B.Sc (Hons.) Geography course.

The eligibility for admission to B.L.I.Sc course is graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks.

MGSU UG Selection Criteria

Graduate students having more than 50% marks can apply for Post graduate Diploma programs in MGSU. The University offers Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing, Computer Applications, Translation (English), and Yoga & Naturopathy.

Candidates who have completed Graduation in the relevant discipline with 50% Marks are eligible for admission to PG Diploma courses of MGSU Bikaner.

MGSU PG Selection Criteria

Admission to Post graduate courses will be granted on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2023

The minimum eligibility for M.Phil and Ph.D. courses is a pass in PG degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate. Admission is granted on the basis of a valid MPCET score (minimum 36% marks) followed by an interview. MPCET is the departmental entrance test conducted by the respective departments of MGSU.

Shortlisted students have to visit the Directorate of Research of MGSU in person with a DD of INR 3000 along with relevant marksheet and certificates.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirement for admission to M.Phil/ Ph.D programs of MGSU Bikaner is a postgraduate degree in a relevant course with at least 50% marks.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Selection Criteria

For admission to M.Phil and Ph.D courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of score of Combined Entrance Test (MPCET) followed by Interview

Pre-Ph.D. Research Work: Candidates admitted to the Ph.D. program need to complete a coursework of 6 months duration. Those candidates who will secure at least 45% marks in the coursework will be considered eligible for final Ph.D. registration.

Key Points:

There will be only one paper for each subject for the entrance test. The test will consist of 100 MCQs where each question carries the value of 1 marks. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. The duration of the entrance test will be 2 hours.
The question paper will be in both English and Hindi for subjects other than languages. For science subjects, the question paper will be in English only.
The Test will carry 100 marks. Merit will be drawn on the basis of combined marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Test followed by an interview.

Fill the application form with due attention.
After filling the application form, upload your scanned photograph & signature along with required documents.

Ans. There are specific rules for the Ph.D. entrance exam in MGSU that are mentioned below:

The medium of the entrance examination will be English and Hindi. However, for Science subjects the medium will be only English.
The examination duration will be 2 hours.
The total number of questions will be 100 and each question will be of 3 marks. There will also be a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
The entrance examination will be followed by an interview of 30 students.
The interview will be taken by two subject experts to adjudge the research interest of the candidates.
