Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) was established in 2006 in Patiala, Punjab. It is one of the 22 National Law Universities of India. It is approved by the Bar Council of India and registered with University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers BA.LLB as an undergraduate course, LLM in multiple specializations as a postgraduate course, and Ph.D. courses at the post-doctoral level.

Candidates applying to RGNUL Patiala BA.LLB must have passed 10 + 2. Admissions are based on CLAT.
Admissions to LLM are also based on CLAT PG / CLAT LLM. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in law to be eligible.
Admissions to Ph.D. courses are based on an entrance test conducted by the institute. Candidates must be qualified with LLM to apply.

A 5% relaxation of marks is given to candidates from reserved categories to be eligible.
The age of the candidate must not be more than 20 years in case of General and 22 years in case of the SC/ST and PWD Candidates.
Candidates appearing in or awaiting results of the qualifying examination may also apply and appear for CLAT provisionally, subject to the condition that they shall produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage of marks at the time of their interview/counseling.

Download the form and print it. Fill in the required details.

How to Apply for RGNUL?

To apply for CLAT as required for the UG and PG programs, the steps mentioned below should be followed:

Log on to the official website of CLAT 2021 and register using personal mobile number and email id.
Log in with the details sent on the mobile number. Fill in the form carefully. Also, fill in preferences for NLUs.
Upload the required documents.
Pay the application fee of INR 4000.

Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC
Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are applying if the candidate is P.W.D
Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are coming under BPL category

FAQs

Ques. What is the age criteria to apply for CLAT?

Ans. There are no age criteria for CLAT PG. The only criteria are the candidate should have an LLB degree with at least 50%. To be eligible for CLAT UG, candidates must not be above 20 years (22 for SC / ST candidates).

Ques. How can I get past years' CLAT paper and practice material?

Ans. In the past years, CLAT question papers will be available at clat.ac.in. To download the previous year’s papers, a requisite fee needs to be paid. For this year, INR 400 needs to be paid to access the papers.
