Course Information

Admission Criteria

The selection for the M.A. in Economics will be based on the performance in the Entrance Examination. The Entrance Examination for M.A. in Economics will consist of 100 multiple choice objective questions carrying one mark for each question. The Entrance Examination will be based on the Graduation standard

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must be Graduate with Economics Honours/Major having minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University /Institution or a Graduate in Commerce/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Engineering or any other Social Science subjects with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/Institution. (5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PWD candidates).

Key Points:

For Integrated M.Sc, Candidates should be below the age of 21 years and for MA/M.Sc candidates should be below the age of 30 as on 1/July
A relaxation of 5% marks is given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories in all courses.
