Pune University B.Com admission 2023 is open now. The last date to apply for BCom admission with late fee has been extended to June 20, 2023. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website – unipune.ac.in. Admissions to the program are based on the SPPU OEE (Online Entrance Examination). Pune University B.Com Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for this course is given below:

  • Candidates should have completed 12th from a recognized University to apply for this course.
  • Candidates who have opted for Commerce in 11th and 12th will be given preference.

Admission to Pune University is done on the basis of merit

How to Apply?

The application fee for the general category is INR 500 and the reservation category is INR 200

  • Visit the official website of the university at http://www.unipune.ac.in/
  • Click on B. Com Admissions
  • Register by filling out all the relevant details 
  • After successful registration, the candidate will receive an email containing credentials.
  • Now login and create a new application
  • Upload photograph and enter other details like academic, educational, and so on.
  • Take a print out and make the payment using Challan or debit/credit card
  • Send the printout and university challan copy to Head of the Commerce Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Ganesh Khind Road, Pune 411007.

The Important documents to attach along with the application form are:

  • Attested copy Mark certificate 
  • Attested copy of Cast certificate (if any)
  • Attested copy of Medical Certificate (Person with Defect)
  • Attested copy of National level/State level Sports Certificate for sports reservation

For engineering, the grace mark policies at Savitribai Phule Pune University are as follows. Every student will get 10 marks grace if there is only one subject backlog. For 50-50 pattern, the mark deviation will be 5-5. For 70-30 pattern, the mark deviation will be 7-3.  If someone scored 37 marks or above in a subject, it will be cleared.  SPPU grace marks don’t exceed 1% of the aggregate marks of the examination.

Click on the certificate section, there will be an option for Transcript. From there, you can apply for a Transcript certificate.  Once the application form is duly filled and you have all the required documents you need to send it to this address -  To,  The Controller of Examination (Exam Certificate Section) University of Pune  Ganeshkhind, Pune - 411007 For non-professional courses, the required fees for transcript certificate is INR 115/-. While for professional courses, the required fee is INR 150/-. You need to pay the fee via a demand draft drawn in favor of The Registrar, University of Pune. If you want to receive your transcript certificate outside of India, you need to pay the International postal charges by Demand Draft. Foreign or non-resident students need to pay the fees in Indian currency. The department usually sends the Transcript Certificate to the address given within 60 days via speed-post.

One of my friends recently graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). According to her, it is better to do anything rather than joining this institute. She mentioned some of the reasons that made her feel this way. The institute only focuses on making money and not actual education. The syllabus and curriculum followed by the institute are outdated. Practical training is not properly given, making students lag behind the industry demands. Basic things like a proper academic calendar are not provided. Re-evaluation is time-consuming and usually not done properly. A 60% from SPPU is not considered good enough for admission to other colleges. They do not consider it as first class. They are known to have the worst and uncooperative staff members. They are not at all helpful or considerate about any problem. It is suggested that you do not opt for SPPU as they are highly unprofessional. They do not have a proper way to conduct classes, assemblies, extracurricular activities and get involved in everything half-heartedly. SPPU is a good example of how a university should be not.
