Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) offers MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Science) degree to aspiring candidates for which the duration is 4.5 years and 5 years respectively. The MBBS degree also includes an internship programme of one year.

In order to seek admission in MBBS and BDS, candidates needs to appear for NEET UG entrance examination. Minimum eligibility for MBBS and BDS is pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and minimum 50% marks in PCB subjects.

Admission is also done on the basis of AICET entrance examination conducted by the university. Minimum required marks for general category is 50%, while for Backward classes, candidate must obtain minimum 40% marks.

Note: Candidate belonging to backward classes must have obtained a minimum 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) examination.

The university offers Basic B.Sc. Nursing, BPT and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programs at UG level. The duration of BPT is four years plus six months internship, for Basic B.Sc. Nursing is four years and P.B. B.Sc. Nursing is two years.

Minimum eligibility for Basic B.Sc. Nursing and BPT is candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects. For Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, candidate must have passed HSC examination in any stream and must pass in GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) course from INC recognized institution.

Admission to all the programs is done on the basis of PIMS-AICET-ASUG conducted by the university.

• For P.B. B.Sc. Nursing, candidate must be a registered R.N. & R.M. with State Nurses Registration Council.
• Candidates appeared in NEET UG for MBBS and BDS courses are eligible to apply for admission to Basic B.Sc. Nursing, BPT, P.B. B.Sc. Biotechnology courses at PIMS.
• 85% of the seats are reserved for general category candidates
• 15% of the seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals and Non-Resident Indians category candidates

PIMS also offers integrated course, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) + Master of Science (M.Sc), in Medical Biotechnology. The duration for this course is 5 years and the total intake capacity is 30 seats.

In order to seek Integrated Programme at PIMS, eligible candidates will have to appear in the PIMS-AICET-ASPG conducted by the university. Minimum eligibility is candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects.

PIMS offers Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and Master of Dental Science (MDS) under various specializations. Each of the courses is offered for a duration of three years.

In order to seek admission in MD and MS programmes at PIMS, candidates needs to appear for NEET PG. Admission to MDS is done on the basis of NEET MDS. Minimum eligibility for Medical PG programs is candidate must have passed MBBS/BDS degree recognized by MCI/DCI.

Admission is also done on the basis of AICET entrance examination conducted by the university for which minimum required marks are 50%.

Key Points:

• Candidate who have completed one year compulsory rotatory internship or is likely to complete before April 30 is eligible to appear for AICET.
• Candidates who have complete Medical PG Diploma or would complete by March 31 of the respective academic year are eligible to apply.
• Candidate must have a permanent registration with MCI/DCI or any state council.

At postgraduate level, PIMS also offers Master of Science (M.Sc.) in various specializations, Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) and Master of Public Health (MPH). The duration period for M.Sc is 3.5 years, and for MPT and MPH are offered for 2 years.

Minimum eligibility for PG courses is candidate must pass in Bachelor’s degree in relevant specialization from recognized university. Selection to PG courses is done on the basis of PIMS-AICET-ASPG conducted by the university.

• Candidate must be an Indian National.
• For MPT, candidate who have completed 6 months compulsory rotatory internship or likely to complete must finish it before July 31^st are eligible to appear for AICET.
• Minimum required marks for M.Sc. Medical Biotechnology is 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.
• For M.Sc. Nursing, candidates must have one year of work experience.
• Candidate should be registered R.N. & R.M. with State Nurses Registration Council.
• For M.Sc. Medical, candidate must be registered with MCI/DCI or any other state council.

The university offers full-time Ph.D. program in various specializations in 13 faculties. Minimum eligibility for Ph.D. is candidate must have passed Master's degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent GPA. 5% marks are reserved for backward classes of state of Maharashtra. Admission is given on the basis of Ph.D. Entrance Examination (AIPET-PIMS).
