ATKT (Allowed to keep terms) rules allow students to pursue further education even after failing in a subject. In BAMU, there are no ATKT rules for BSc first-year students. But these are applicable in the third year. In the first year, you are to pass the first and second semesters. In the second year, you are to clear only three subjects in the third and fourth semesters. A student shall not be ineligible to secure admission in the third year if they fail in more subjects. BAMU does not use the pointer system used in Pune University. The following are the engineering year down rules of BAMU. There are two sections. One is average, and the other is exam theory marks. The average is of unit tests held in class every week or month. If you fail to obtain the minimum required marks, pass the theoretical tests with higher scores. For architecture, the rules are different and simple. All internals get cleared in colleges. Three subjects back in a year are permissible, but four backs in a year result in the year down. You will not be able to take any subjects from your previous alternate year. Overall, the main thing to keep in mind is the third year. In the third year, even a single back can result in the year down. No such student gets promoted to the fourth year.
