Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, also known as University of Jabalpur, is a government university in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was named after the queen Rani Durgavati.
The university offers a variety of courses with a number of different specializations at the undergraduate and postgraduate. The university also offers facility for research work through its M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses under a number of fields for study.
The university conducts separate entrance tests for evaluation of the eligible candidates and preparation of the merit list for the various courses.
Reservation to SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates will as per M.P. Govt. / University rules
Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalay (RDVV) offers a number of courses with different specializations at the undergraduate level. All the UG level courses are for a duration of three years, except for B.J.C. (1 year), Integrated B.A. LL.B. (5 years), B.Pharm. (4 years) and B.P.Ed. (2 years).
The B.Sc. Hons. course is offered with two specializations - Microbiology and Biotechnology and the B.B.A. course is also offered with two different specializations - Hotel Management and Hospital Administration.
Admission to the UG level courses are through an entrance conducted by the university. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test as well as in their previous qualifying examination.
For B.Sc. (Pass), B.A. (Pass), B.Com. (Pass) and B.LIS courses, the applicants are not required to appear for any entrance test.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya offers a number of Master’s degree courses at the postgraduate level under different specialization subjects. All the PG level courses are for a duration of two years except for M.A. Population Education (1 year), M.L.I.Sc. (1 year) and B.C.A. (3 years).
The M.Sc. degree at RDVV is offered with 11 different specialization subjects, whereas, the M.A. degree is offered with 16 different specialization subjects.
For admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.A. Mass communication and M.J.C. courses, the candidates need to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university. Preparation of the final merit for these courses are based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test as well as in their previous qualifying examination.
For admission to the B.Ed. courses, the eligible candidates are invited for the counselling rounds. Admission to all the other courses are purely based on the merit of the candidates in their previous qualifying examination.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya also offers Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the postgraduate level. The M.B.A. course is offered with three different specialization subjects - Marketing Management, International Business and Business Economics. The duration for the MBA courses is two years.
The application procedure for the M.B.A. courses start by mid-April and all the applicants need to sit for an entrance test which is conducted by the university itself.

The University conducts Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes, which is conducted for each subject separately at the University Teaching Departments. The candidates who clear the interview test are required to sit for an interview in order to get selected for the course.

To get admission to the B.A. In the mass communication department, the student must score a minimum of 55% in 12th grade from any recognized board. Sub-departments like BEd, require an entrance test over and above graduation. Other departments like Agriculture are one of the new openings with the latest facilities. Reservation benefits for SC, ST and OBC Students are available. Application forms are available from July and the fee structure for application forms is between 300-500.

(Bachelor of Education) need to complete Graduation in mandatory, every year from May you will get the application form on MP Higher Education Website and 350 Rs. fees for registration and you can fill out the form and submit it to your nearby college where Document Verification could be done, Reservation will be applicable as per Govt. rules, the admission process is slightly tricky you can go the desired college and get information about the admission process.
